Great Help
I was in desperate need of a USB and this Kingston usb delivers a lot. Gets me through a lot, especially since I do a lot of pc work, files managing and more. I work within the IT sector, Cyber Security so this being in my possession, it is a great help and gets me through a lot. From what I've seen the speed is the fastest among the usb's I've seen. Plus 128gb for just ยฃ9, amazing, nice and cheap and it's very much a value of money. It's small obviously so you can take it anywhere and do what you need to do. I have a usb c adapter so I can use that as well if the other slot is taken. Overall, great stuff. Great usb.

Reliable and fast storage solution
I recently purchased the Kingston DataTraveler, and it has proven to be an excellent addition to my tech arsenal. It combines speed and security for a seamless data storage experience. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 technology ensures rapid data transfer, making it a breeze to move large files and documents. Whether I'm backing up important files or transferring multimedia content, the Kingston DataTraveler delivers impressive speed, saving me valuable time in the process. The sleek and durable metal casing not only gives it a premium look but also provides robust protection for my data. Its compact design makes it easy to carry in my pocket or attach to a keychain, ensuring that my files are always within reach when I need them. I appreciate the thought Kingston has put into security features. The drive supports password protection, giving me peace of mind knowing that my sensitive data is safeguarded against unauthorized access. This additional layer of security adds tremendous value, especially for those dealing with confidential information. The plug-and-play functionality is another standout feature. It works seamlessly with various devices, from laptops to smart TVs, without the need for any additional software installation. It's a true plug-and-play experience, which is perfect for users who want a hassle-free storage solution. It is also recommended by MSI to be used to Flash BIOS, which is originally what I purchased it for, although after realising how great of a flash drive it is, I now bring it everywhere with me. Will be interesting to find out how long it lasts before it begins to fail, being a capless design, dust and debris may get trapped within the USB port, although time will tell. In conclusion, the Kingston DataTraveler Kyson USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive is a reliable and high-performing storage solution. Whether you're a student, professional, or anyone in need of swift and secure data transfer, this flash drive is a fantastic choice. Kingston has once again delivered a product that combines speed, durability, and security, making it an essential tool in my daily tech toolkit. Highly recommended!

Cheap, but very slow write performance
This review is for a Kingston Kyson 64GB USB stick, priced at under ยฃ7 delivered. Supplied in a retail packet, it is of a metal construction, although the metal is quite flimsy, unlike some others of a similar design I own. I doubt this would stand up to too much abuse, such as getting crushed in a tight laptop bag. Tested in a Windows 11 PC and a M4 based Mac, no issues were encountered from a compatibility point of view, and it comes preformatted with FAT32, so easily read by either OS without reformatting. After formatting, capacity is approx 57GB, and H2testw proved the capacity is genuine. My only slight disappointment is the write speeds are quite slow, under 20MBytes/s, nowhere near the claimed 60MB/s. Read speeds nearly matched the claimed 200MB/s at 186MB/s. Given the competitive price for a big brand 64GB stick, I think it offers good value, despite the slow write.

Great product from a trusted and well known brand/manufacturer
Great product from a trusted and well known brand/manufacturer Item works well no issues at all file transfer speeds are good itโs extremely compact and small would be great if it came with a key ring or some sort of clip on as the size is so small it could easily be lost or misplaced and also would be great if there was more storage size options available other than that itโs a great product and Iโm only going to purchase products like this from well know and trusted manufacturers as thereโs and reason why they are the other cheaper products offering larger storage capacity just donโt work!

Kingston DataTraveler Kyson USB 3.2 Gen 1. 512G, v1.01
In some ways I am finding this to be an excellent flash drive, but there are some points to consider. I got good results when inserted into a hardware USB slot, but to get it to work at the end of a USB extension lead I need a buffer. I use it to connect media files to the USB inputs at the back of my media screen, the sound passing through to the Arc input of my soundbar. Connecting the flash drive to the USB sockets is possible but fiddly, so I prefer to connect via a USB lead and prefer that lead to be ultra flexible to relieve strain on the connector socket. I am currently finding ultra flexible USB 3 leads to be difficult to find, HDMI leads are so easy to get in thin and flexible types, even at 8K rating. 118G flash drives ran well as is. With this 512G I tried buffering the flash output with a Usb multiport adapter, usb extender 3.0 Hub,double usb adapter for Desktop PC Compatible (3.0 adapter 2port). A two to one bridge, one of the two going to the 512G and the other end going to the cable. If needed, I have space for a second flash drive as the second of the two. It is now working well, though I am still looking for a USB lead that I can really like.

Good price for the size and speed
I've bought 2 of these recently, 1 for general use and 1 to go in my Blink Sync2 Module to provide local usb storage for my blink cameras. As a lot of users have done, I ran a CrystalDiskMark on it. This was only done on 1 out of the 2 I bought and was done twice, after a quick formats with 64KB and 128KB allocation unit sizes. Write-caching is disabled for quick removal by default on my machine. Slightly higher sequential read speeds with the 64KB size, but otherwise, not really much difference. Certainly not enough to affect general everyday use for me. I haven't noticed either getting particularly hot, but being an exposed metal case would help with any heat dissipation needed. Overall, a good sized USB 3.2 Gen 1 with a nice balance between capacity, speed and price. I can certainly see me getting more of these (at various capacities as needed) for myself and family and recommending to friends.

Slow after a couple of minutes of use
After a couple of minutes file transfers become unbelievably slow. I don't know if it's some kind of overheating protection or something. The file access stays slow until the device is removed and reinserted, and will get slow again after a couple of minutes use. I only used it for my mp3 library, so loading a new track every couple of minutes, and it wasn't even capable of that. Terrible.
