How wonderful!
The Zen scent (JD 08, Japanese Design air) is absolutely wonderful. It’s like a forest, but there is a complexity about the combination of herbs and forest that I love. I’m so glad I purchased this one.

Added to body oil, use in defuser, A+
I started making my own body oil when I realized how much cheaper it would be. Hinoki wood has a large amount of phytocides which make humans feel relaxed (part of why walking through a forest is relaxing). It smells fantastic and I’ve had no sensitivity issues even though this is for diffusers. I also use it in my diffuser for a relaxing forest like smell.

Woodsy Japanese Scent
I purchased this to bring some nature into my tech-focused office. Using it in a diffuser, I did notice that it causes the water to become milky. While this has a very pleasant scent and was especially attractive marketed as particularly Japanese, in the future I would opt for a more cost effective, basic Cypress or Cedar oil. Just not worth the price, but I don't regret trying it.
