They work pretty well for a cheaper set.
Arrived as advertised. They work pretty well. When I went to sharpen them, there were a few chips in the cutting edges that I didn’t notice until after I removed the coating on the top face. I just replaced the cutters on them, after turning a handful of wooden and acrylic pens.

Great for beginners!
Nice case, good torx wrenches to adjust and change the inserts. I've made 3 pens so far and rounded some square stock, all hardwood, and I'm only just starting to consider them dulling. A good buy for beginners like me.

Purchased this set and first time using the square bit chipped within 5 minutes, contacted the seller with a picture of bit Says I didn’t remove plastic coating on bit and caused carbide bit to chip. No warranty Returned to Amazon. ******UPDATE. Seller reached out to me and replaced it with new set. Honored warranty Very happy now

This scraper was very eay to use even for beginners. It is super sharp & I dont have to stop to sharpen my gouger or scraper when i need more blade, i just twist my blade w the enclosed chuck. The price was great too. Thank you..Sandi Larson

Buy it again
I was excited to receive my turning tools. All looked great and the box looks great too. I can't believe that these have made a world of difference in my wood turning. I'm a beginner and these tools have just helped me with my turning of wood. I look forward to using these more.

Very nice, super sharp
Love my HSS turning tools, but sharpening is inconsistent. These new tools however were super sharp, buttery smooth, and very nice. I feel they are a little expensive, but I guess "you get what you pay for" applies here. Highly recommend.

Blades aren't that great
Good weight, great for beginners (that's me). Storage box was pretty flimsy, but what did I expect for what I paid? Would have been nice to have a carry handle. Inside packaging was good. However, I got them with small chips in the round and square blades. You get what you pay for ... but they were good enough to work. Otherwise, cuts like butter. Have 3 more sides that don't have chips, so I'm satisfied for the cost.
