Mighty Max Battery 12V 18AH SLA Battery for Generac 7500 EXL Portable Generator

Update October 2021: After giving fine service for almost 4 years, the battery appears to be dead or close to it (a little shorter time than the original OEM battery). Wouldn't start the generator for my pre-winter tune-up and testing. Sitting voltage is at 5.7 volts, much lower than usual (should be well over 9 volts or so minimum). I've pulled it and it's sitting on a charger right now, but I doubt I can trust this now for the winter, so I'll be buying a new one shortly. Generator works fine though (via a jump start), so that's a plus. Update April 2018: Living in New England, we got hammered during March with Nor'easter after Nor'easter. Lost power five different times, ranging from 8 hours to three days. This battery did its job well, starting the generator every time, first time. Although the battery gets charged when the generator is running, I also provide a trickle charge to the battery every Sunday for 8 hours (it's on a timer), and that probably helps also. I'll try to remember to update this review after a few more winters. Original Review: Bought this to replace the original battery on a Generac XG10000E generator. Old battery was 5 years old and no longer held a charge. Old battery also was 10 AH vs. the 18AH here, so I'm hoping it will do a lot of starts in cold weather without working out too hard. More AHs. Good. The location for this battery on the generator frame is tight, and the new battery slid into place perfectly. The battery comes with hardware for attaching the cables to the battery posts. As delivered, the battery voltage was 13.6 volts DC (unloaded). I left it on the charger overnight before using it to start the generator the next day. Worked just fine. Overall a good deal for a higher capacity battery that fits perfectly.

Had to replace old battery in portable Generac Generator. It was easy to install and works just fine. The best price I could find locally was over $100.00, so this was a good buy!

This battery has held up fairly well and kept it's charge for a long time. My generator starts right up each time now.

It was fully charged, had brand new hardware, and it was ready to go.

Replacement battery Simple but Not easy to install . Had to move fuel tank for easy access to fasteners. Don’t know what the longevity is, it's a wait and see process.

Great fit and great price

This is only the second time purchasing this battery as these seem to last longer than expected! The previous one lasted seven years in my portable generator. Have had no issues with dependability. Cost was good for how long they last. I would give it five stars! If this is the size battery you need, don't hesitate to buy it.

I bought this so my wife wouldn’t have to pull start our generator (we live on a well, occasional power outages mean no water). It works great, but does not fit in the generators battery slot. Not a deal breaker, but I looked up the genny model and battery dimensions/size needed this one popped up. Works fine, just whatever I read was apparently wrong.
