Murder Mystery Party Case Files

A good mystery game good for those who lost to solve mysteries and lots of information and clues and it’s really good mind game too.. my daughter loved it as her birthday gift.

Bought for a group of teenage girls to complete and although they didn’t manage to complete within the timeframe they were given they really enjoyed it! There is a lot in the pack to go through so would definitely keep you entertained for a while!

Purely in terms of value for money this is the best of all the cold case file games out there. The amount (and quality) of materials you get is very impressive considering the relatively low price, even if the case complexity is perhaps a tad lacking. It could be more to do with our being veterans of this type of game, but for higher difficulty and greater reward, as well as those eureka moments, you might want to try one of the pricier alternatives.

Excellent way to pass an evening with friends. We managed to get the correct answer by paying close attention to all the evidence included.

Great fun for the whole family. We spread it over two evenings but could easily be spread over an afternoon. Not too complex but definitely had us scratching our brains at points. The evidence was of good quality. There’s lots of reading but that’s to be expected, younger teens may struggle to maintain focus depending on their attention span. If you’re a lover of crime and mystery then this is for you.

The presentation of this game is great. All the evidence (and there’s a lot of it) is well presented and looks authentic. However, it’s not all that difficult and having spent so much time looking through and reading all the evidence only a handful are actually relevant and easy enough to get you to the solution. The online hints are also pretty pointless, more cryptic clues than being of any help.

First off this was the cheapest option, and having never tried something like this before I thought why not try it. It took me and one friend 2 and a half hours to complete (that is including a couple of drinks breaks and a couple of other distractions) the detail in the package is amazing, really gets your mind working without giving too much away. The online ‘hints’ were pretty obvious if you’ve managed to work the case properly but can see they’d be quite helpful if you got a bit stuck. Overall a great way to spend the evening, I think if there was more than 2 of you it might get solved a bit faster but either way we had a great night and will definitely be trying more things like this!

I loved it!! I had so much fun with my siblings (the youngest is 11) we spent hours solving it we are definitely going to buy more!!

I like murder mystery investigation games like this so this is the 3rd brand I am giving a shot (the other two being Hunt A Killer and Unsolved Case Files). Although I have yet to give this a play through, I thought I’d give a quick overview feedback - packaging is as good as the other two brands if not better. The material inside feels and looks well made as well. Only thing is I’d hope the creators include an inventory list of all the items that should be in the box so ‘investigators’ can check to make sure there is no missing ‘evidence’. Price wise, this definitely beats the other two brands but I’d need to have played the entire game before I could say if what the other two brands lose in terms of price point they make up in quality.

I love that the game feels like it is running on real time. I loved the team and how you split them between the players so everyone can be in control of one of the operatives. It felt exciting and riveting — loved the chats and the videos. There was some bad info and red herrings that we had to discard and navigate around just like real life would gave. Things were smooth overall, with exception of one clue which was not possible to find. This is the landline for the assistant. It is not available through the phone or by following the clues given at all. But it is a minor thing that I am sure could have been resolved in real life by calling the bank and asking as it is not private info, so we felt OK cheating on that one. Otherwise a great game. Excellent really.
