It has a silent mechanism, so no annoying ticking sound and just requires one AA battery to power it. Keeps perfect time and the case is a darkish wood with a white dial and very clear numerals meaning it is very easy to tell the time. I just love the look of this new clock. Design is very Art Deco and looks wonderful with my ornaments.
