Easily break when cinching
I bought a bunch of these for webbing straps on backpacks. Only very thin webbing fits and functions with these, they are not smooth to adjust, and they break very easily. Only minor cinching force has cause multiple of these to break on me, which is a major pain because they are sewn into the webbing and are expensive to replace with the field repair versions. I would not recommend these for any backcountry use.
