I've only used the Honey type wax; decided to live a vegan life so I had to find an alternative to the Honey wax and found this. Didn't know which style to buy so I purchased the All Purpose. After reading all the reviews, I was very nervous about it. Because I am used to using the cloth strips and heating pot with the honey, that is exactly how I used this stuff. I squished the wax into the heating pot (it was not easy to do because it is thick and sticky) let it heat up. After about an hour, it still was not as thin and warm as the honey, so I wasn't sure it was going to work but got tired of waiting so just went for it. Applied it exactly like I did with the honey (with a wooden spatula) and used the cloth strip. It came off so easy!! I could not believe it! I did not use powder on my skin, used no gloves, and it did not pull my skin. It did not leave any residue. It was incredible. I waxed every area of my body except my face (legs, feet, arms, underarms, personal space) and each area was easy. This is a wax that if you are in a hurry, you can use it and go, no need for sticky residue removal. If you don't already have a hot wax pot and a tin, you will have to buy them and buy a honey wax so you can have a tin to pour in the sugar wax. I am so thankful to have found this vegan product that works better than honey! Updating: I went into my closet to learn I broke the plastic container of this wax when I squeezed it into the tin and it leaked everywhere! It got on my Peloton leggings, cycling shorts, etc. I was very sad, until!.....I remembered reading it rinses off the skin with plain water. Plain water rinses it completely off of clothes, too! Leggings, good as new! This stuff is the best!

Fantastic sugar wax! I’ve tried other brands that cost more for less product and they don’t hold up very well. I bought from a different brand and it only lasted 3 uses before it got weirdly wet and liquidy? This one has held up great and will last forever!

Good morning. I hope you are doing well. I was very excited to try this product, as I saw the good reviews. As soon as I received it I tested it. The experience with the firm was great, worked as expected; however, my experience with the all purpose was the worst Ive ever had. The wax is too soft and it does not come out for nothing! Just so you are aware, I did warm it up as instructed and I had the right texture before applying. Luckily, I always try products on my self, before using it on clients. It would have been extremely embarrassing if this had happened with a client. I would like to request a refund for the “all purpose” item or an exchange for another “firm”. I like the easy clean up. The wax washes away with simply rinsing with water. It does take some time getting used to using it and knowing how to rip it off. Getting the right temperature can be tricky because you don’t want it too hot or too cold and a matter of seconds can make that difference. I like using this product, but it can be very messy and takes patience to use. It’s been good on my sensitive skin.

Wish I had read this review from Taylor ( Reviewed April 24, 2024 - a professional sugar waxer) before I purchased. KEY POINTS : " If you are microwaving this paste (all purpose) it will become water and not work for you at all. Instead, soak it for about 15-20 minutes in a sink full of hot water and allow paste to gradually melt a little bit. The microwave has too high power and will over melt your sugar. sugar does melt with body heat. [the overly melty consistency reported by others] could also be from individuals being too hot bodied and is over melting the sugar as well. I have 3 years of professional experience. for a lot of people who are just starting out I would highly suggest to not heat the sugar at all. This will allow you time to use it without it over melting to the skin. I would even suggest to buy the firm paste as well and mix the two together to slow down the melting time and it will be way easier to handle. This all purpose paste is equivalent to a super soft we call it, which is very soft and melts very fast for large areas of the body, professionals usually use this as they’re quick enough to rip off so it doesn’t over melt"

I ordered this after failing many times trying to make some at home. I got the firm stuff and it works beautifully. I didn’t heat it up in the microwave or anything. I just pulled out some and worked it in my hands until it was soft and a bit sticky. I was so impressed with how well it worked! After using it for a while it would sometimes be too soft and not pull away cleanly, but that was a very minor inconvenience since it rinses off so easily. Overall 10/10 experience. This is sooooo much better than wax strips

I am a licensed esthetician of 8 years and specialize specifically in sugar waxing. This product works very well & should only be used by licensed professionals. Of course you can try it at home on your own, but if you don’t know the sugaring technique, it can be difficult and that’s why it gets stuck (because you don’t know what you’re doing) This sugar paste works so well on my clients skin, my skin, and is the heart of my business. I would recommend this product to any Sugarista! This product is made up of four simple ingredients, which I love. No added chemicals or nonsense and gets the job done well. I’d give it a million stars if I could.

All purpose is a -5 star. Way too soft! Just sticks to skin and is completely unworkable! The firm was just fine for intimate area but did not have luck with it for any other area.

EDIT: This time I bought the FIRM sugar paste and it works AMAZING! I managed to do almost my whole calf with just one ball and it didn't melt or start to go too gooey until it was well used and a new blob was required. If you run hot (like my menopausal self) or are using this in warm conditions, then definitely buy the firm version of this if you are looking to use this product in the traditional way without strips. If you are using it with strips, buy the all purpose version and warm it up a little before use. One of my favorite things about this product is that it's totally water soluble. You can wash it off your skin or out of your sheets or towels with ease 👍 ORIGINA 2 STAR REVIEW: Maybe I just run hot, but this stuff melts and sticks and goes spider webby on me. I made my own suger paste in the past that actually worked better. Maybe I should be using the firm version if this brand?? I just find that my body heat makes it too gooey too fast and it becomes an absolute mess that I have to wash off my legs (even the powder doesn't help). Mind you, when it's still cool enough to pull properly, it works beautifully. It gets every hair and doesn't hurt at all. Silky smooth legs. I'm just frustrated because it heats up against my skin and I only get a couple of good pulls before it's just a webby, unusable mass and I have to chuck the ball and get a new one. For the price, I can't afford to be chucking every ball after 2 pulls. I think I'll stick to making my own for now.

I have been doing my own sugaring for years, with sugar always purchased from a salon. I thought I would give this sugar a try, and the first time it was fantastic. It worked really well and I was super happy with it. 2-3 weeks later went to use it again and the sugar will not work at all. It wasn't left open, climate controlled home, stored in a cool dark place. Very disappointed Ted as the tub is still basically full and it's essentially useless as it will not flick off, it's just too soft.

If you know how to use sugar wax the cold way, you will like this product. It's not firm-firm, but firm enough, perfect for legs and armpits. Takes awhile to start ashing, I was impressed. It took me just an hour to do my legs, when previously took 2 hours per leg with my old sugar wax. Great behavior on the knees. Overall really impressed, comfortable to use. WILL NOT WORK FOR BIKINI!! It's not firm enough for bikini area, most likely will get stuck on the first try. The packaging is uncomfortable in the long run, but for me it's not a big deal since I liked the product. Attached picks of my legs and knee, nice clean result.

It’s good, but it can get really messy. Hard to use for beginners. You would also need the perfect temperature for it not to work well, so it takes time.

I used to cook my own paste for the past 15 years but this month after several "hard" batches I decided to order it online to give myself a break. This paste is very soft for coarse bikini and armpits hair but I managed to work with it by adding my own cooked batch (mine was a touch harder). Even without me adding anything it would be worked with if you have experience in sugaring. For those who complains it is too soft and turns to mess: I would recommend NOT preheating it in microwave but get the paste with metal spatula out and work it with your hands. Also - work fast! Don't allow the paste becoming too warm and soft; don't keep it in your hands for too long: appy, rip it, apply and rip it - again and again. Gets too white n sticky? Put it on cold surface n stick it in the freezer for 2 min. Or throw away n start again. If you want to cook it yourself: 10tbs sugar, 4 tbs lemon juice, 1 tbs water. Add it to the pot, heat it till it bubbles and reaches 126C⁰. Do not stir it!! Take it from the heat, pour it in container n cool down. Done.
