Let me tell you how this pencil sharpener has saved my sanity in a 6th grade classroom. In the beginning of the school year, I had a pencil sharpener that broke the children’s pencil tips more often than not, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a new one. The green color is so cute and matches with my greenery theme so well. Anyway, I demonstrated to the students how to use it and it has made mornings so much more efficient. It sharpens super quick AND it automatically stops when the pencil is sharpened. No guessing, no sharpening your pencil to the point that it breaks. I highly recommend it. Very easy to use for all ages and worth the money!

I have been using this AFMAT PS93 pencil sharpener constantly for the past four years, and it still works like the day I opened the box. I purchased two other sharpeners prior to the AFMAT, and I promptly returned them because they were junk. I was having trouble finding a sharpener that not only did a good job sharpening regular pencils, but also the Crayola colored pencils that my grandchildren use on a daily basis. It sharpens both beautifully. If this sharpener suddenly stopped working, I would immediately purchase another one.

Sharpens quickly! Sharpens evenly around and is smooth. I like that I can choose how sharp i can make my pencil or blunt it. It doesn't seem to waste my pencil by over sharpening it. I use it for my colored pencils and my black pencils, soft or harder lead it doesn't seem to matter. Does a great job on both.

Fast, convenient, and smart —I bought the AFMAT PS91 to handle colored pencils and regular pencils up to 12 mm. In daily use, it’s impressed me in many ways — but it also has a few quirks worth knowing.What I like:• Speed & efficiency: It really does sharpen fast. According to AFMAT, a new pencil can be sharpened in about 5 seconds, and a used pencil in about 3 seconds. • Auto-stop / no over-sharpening: Once the pencil tip reaches a good sharpness, the machine stops, which helps prevent breakage or wasted pencil length. • Dual sharpness settings: You can choose between a sharper point or a more blunt finish (useful for kids or more fragile leads). • Wide size compatibility: It supports pencils in the 6–12 mm diameter range, so it works for standard No. 2 pencils, colored pencils, and many art or jumbo pencils. • Decent shavings capacity / ease of cleaning: The top lid and shavings bin are large enough that you don’t have to empty it constantly, and it’s relatively simple to remove and dump the bits. • Stable design: Many users report the base has suction pads (or non-slip feet) which help keep it stable during use. 

This sharpener worked great right out of the box. I wanted a sharpener that was corded for stability and power and no dependence on batteries. Very happy with the power and speed. Pencils were sharpened quickly and well in all test cases. The only criticism is that the bluntness/sharpness adjustment does not make much difference. It is a wheel, so seems like it should be a continuous range, but the wheel does not move much between the two extremes, so don't expect much difference in the two extremes. Otherwise, great sharpener so far.

This election pencil sharpener saved the day! I am a piano teacher and rely on a sharp and sturdy pencil point to quickly write down my student's assignment during each lesson. My old sharpener was eating up the pencils and breaking the lead inside. This new sharpener is fast, efficient makes a good strong point and helps me do a better job of taking important notes during each lesson. I also love the magenta /pink/ purple color. The vertical shape and overall size makes it fit easily on the nearby shelf with my other teaching supplies. I highly recommend this sharpener, especially if you are a teacher and need to be extremely efficient with your time.

This is my third electric sharpener, ever. The first one (same brand - different style) I had was so loud! I never use it. - this AFMAT sharpener in this style is not painfully loud at all!The second one is great (different brand - similar style to this one, but half the size). But it is plug in or battery, which is great. - This AFMAT sharpener is plug in only. That means it has zero portability. It’s also huge, so it would be inconvenient. But I appreciate the size of the shavings reservoir!I sort of accidentally purchased this one, because I got some large sized pencils and this said it could sharpen regular size pencils up to 12mm. I ended up returning those pencils, and didn’t have time to cancel the sharpener order. I figured it would be great to have a spare sharpener anyway!I was worried that it would be difficult to sharpen the smaller pencils, but as you can see, inside the entry, there is a mechanism that moves to hold whatever sized pencil center. I worry that will break eventually, but we shall see how long they last. For now it works great and my pencils feel stable when in the sharpener. It can be a little difficult to push the pencil in, as you can see in my video, but it’s ok. I imagine it should loosen up a little with use.So far it’s been really amazing. I’ve been using Posca Pencils with it and it’s done a great job.It has a switch to sharpen more blunt or super sharp. So far I’ve only sharpened super sharp, but I think I will try it with some pastel pencils and see if the blunt will work best for those.It sharpens very quickly, and stops when sharp, which is always a great feature!I tried it with a large pencil (like half inch wide, or 12mm) and it worked great too!So far I am very pleased and would recommend for an at home sharpener!

The first sharpener to last over a year in my classroom. On year three in fact! Plus unlike other sharpeners I can replace the blade for $10 instead of the entire sharpener. I have kids and adults come to my room just for my superior pencil sharpener! Amazing for a sharpener that is half the price of the most popular sharpener. It’s smaller than the other sharpener options as well so easier to place. It can also be easily unplugged and to bring to the garbage to empty and prevents messes.

Ótimo produto. É elétrico, precisa ficar na tomada para funcionar. Vem com adaptador e carregador. Ótimo, pois você controla a ponta do lápis e também o tempo que fica apontado. Serve para lápis comuns mais finos e lápis jumbo mais grossos. Gostei bastante.

Taille crayon avec une très belle apparence. Aiguise très bien les crayons de toutes sortes. Il s'arrête de fonctionner tout seul quand le crayon à l'aiguisage désiré. Compact, prend très peu de place sur un bureau. J'adore

Excellent pencil sharpener. It sharpens pencils quickly and gives a very clean, sharp, and even point. I especially like the automatic sharpening and auto-stop feature, which makes it very convenient for regular use. It also works well with different types of pencils and doesn’t waste much pencil. Overall, the build quality and performance are very good. Highly recommended for students, artists, and home use.

Update: after using for a few days this sharpener has lived up to my expectations, so I've upgraded my original 4* rating to 5*. With some reviews specifically stating that the plug is not UK & others making no mention of what is a rather important element of the product, I asked the question on here and received two very helpful replies confirming that it does not have a UK plug and an adaptor is required. So I went ahead and purchased together with a US to UK adaptor. This is a fabulous sharpener - set to the sharpest point I put it through its paces with various brands of coloured pencils (Holbein, Polychromos, Derwent Artists, Luminance, Derwent Drawing). I expected the Drawing to maybe cause an issue being the thickest core and very soft, but it was no problem; lovely sharp point. Auto stop prevents over sharpening and it is very easy to empty. So I'm delighted with my purchase but would suggest to Amazon that it would be more useful to the customer if the 'Buy It With' section recommends an adaptor rather than rechargeable eraser refills!!
