First off, I love SmallRig. They have the best prices on camera rig accessories and are still able to maintain incredible quality and are constantly refining and improving their product line. I have purchased many of their other rig accessories as I expand my set-up and each is incredibly well made and suited to it's purpose. I bought this camera cage for my A6300 and it fits perfectly and allow for mic, handle and should mount to be attached with many options for changing positioning due to the many attachment screw holes. My only small grip is that with a single attachment point for the camera to the cage, the cage can move right or left a bit if not screwed in very tightly. This is more the fault of all camera designs. I don't know who came up with the "one screw" concept for camera mounts but it probably could have been thought out better. I came up with a solution which is to go to your local hardware store and get some short headless hex screws and you can lightly dip the tip in some shoe goo so it doesn't scratch your camera and then screw them through the cage until they are in contact with the camera. If you do this on both sides it will keep the camera from possibly moving a bit in the cage. Perhaps SmallRig could make these screws as they take consumer ideas and turn them into products -- another great aspect of the company. Look forward to their future innovations in cinema rig equipment.

SmallRig is a great company to deal with; high quality design and build, always fits correctly, and looks great. Best product for the money. I'm also happy that they support the older camera models !

Perfect if you're on the go with your camera a lot and/or need more mounting points for it for things like lights, microphones, external display, etc. On top of that, the cage surrounds your camera to do its main job, protect it. I have a sling belt to carry my camera when I'm not actively holding it and the mount that was attached to the camera (protip: use blue thread locker on all of your camera threads) came loose and the camera fell from about 3 1/2 feet high. Somehow, my camera and the lens surprisingly survived the fall on a granite hotel floor and I thank this cage for not losing a camera, especially during a convention I normally document over 1000 or so shots. But there's plenty of places to screw in what you need for your loadout and you're doing yourself a disservice of not having this if you more than casually take photos. Recommended.

Very well built, fits perfect on my a6300, protects and allows tons of extra attaching points. It's tough, very well built and light. I bought also the top handle and the hotshoe adapter. The only concern it's about hdmi clamp. The one suggested by Amazon doesn't works with the a6300 ports setup, it's better to choose another model, like the one for Odissey.

There are not very many cages out there for the a6000 on the cheap. Thought I would give it a try...I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. I't fits very close to the camera body and only makes contact where needed. It doesn't add too much weight but it gives you more to hold on to so you feel a little more confident tossing your rig all over the place. I've used it with on a monopod, sticks, & hand held and it performed like a rock! I actually grown to like it so much that I never take it off my camera. Plus, SmallRig offers a lot of accessories to customize your rig to meet your needs. One draw back: Where the cage meets the body there is no type of friction material (i.e.: cork, rubber). So, if the cage and body aren't mounted as flush as possible, any constant movement side to side loosens the locking screw. It takes a little of time to find the "sweet" spot. But once you do there are no real issues. Hope this helps

OMG this thing is genius! First it's gorgeous and uniquely looking. Heavy duty -- it does add some weight to an already lightweight camera a6300 but so worth the peace of mind it adds Fits great on my tripod People constantly stop me to ask what it is bc it looks great on the camera Con Wish they made it to protect the back part of the camera more. Maybe they make a full cage and I don't know it, but the one I got for my a6300 didn't offer any protection for the backside view screen Sometimes the screw on the bottom becomes loose. Maybe im not tightening it up well enough but it is noticeable before it falls off/ gives you ample warning time to tighten. I just now carry a coin in my camera bag to tighten when I need to Still love it... worth every dollar 10x over.

what can I say? is a great piece of hardware... solid as a rock .beautiful design for my is a safe way to install a lot of devices for my needs... fits perfectly and you can have access to any door or even the flash... protects your valuable camera and also makes look cool!

Perfect! Fits my Sony a6000 as it should, leaving access to all the ports and controls. In addition, it protects the camera and keeps your hands away from it, allowing the camera to function cooler during a video shoot. It helped my Sony a6000 to run in video mode for 30 minutes non stop for the first time. But I'll be doing more tests on that. Shipping was supper fast for this item shipped from Canada, but an accessory handle I ordered is being shipped from China and may take as long as a month. Not good as it already shipped and I can't change the shipped mode.
