Good Switch, works, and feels solid.
Works great to run an electric over hydraulic cylinder. Super Easy to wire, because they pre install the reversing jumpers, saving time and money. the switch feels good, and has a positive return to off (center). I think this will last a while.

Replacement for square body suburban tailgate dash switch
is a good replacement dash switch for the tailgate window to replace OEM GM #14040844. It fits into the dash bezel and is the only one I could find with UP and Down Markings- they are not oriented vertically-but are easy to see. Sadly the terminal orientations are not the same so it wont just plug up. I made an adapter to test it. The hardest thing was getting the lengths of wire the same with the spade terminals correctly oriented to fit into the harness plug. You can always cut the harness and it will be easier, but was trying to avoid that for this test fit. I used 3 inches of 12 AWG Ancor tinned marine wire for each connection which is flexible enough and it will fit into the dash. I set the female terminals on the switch before orienting the males so I could make them all orient correctly. The harness plug fit is not as tight as I would like so will thinking about having my buddy make a bracket with his 3d printer. Another option might be to use hot melt glue to cement the male ends into a single plug. Tape will always work in a pinch.
