Spa Marvel. Water Treatment & Conditioner 16 fl oz (Regular)

I've been using it for multiple months, and I have only good feedback on it. My skin became really different after switching to Spa Marvel Water. One other thing that I noticed, is absence of the bromine sense. I track closely all the chemicals spent in my SPA. And I know for sure that I dissolve the usual amount of bromine tablets in the SPA. However, with this product, the bromine scent (which is usually very distinctive) cannot be detected. I have no idea how exactly it works, but I'm sure that my water have enough disinfectant. The product says, you need to change water every 3 months. It's a best estimation, not a hard milestone. The conditioner feature of this product SEEMS to degrade faster when you use high temperatures and water streams. So, based on your usage, you may need to change the water more frequently. We use our SPA about 2-3 times per a week, and 3 month timeline seems to be a good target. When I started to sense the bromine smell, it was about 3 months since the water change. So, I just changed the water with no doubts. One IMPORTANT thing about using the product. It was a thing that nearly stopped me from using it. The product content by itself HAS NOT CLEAR COLOR. It is white-cloudy. When you pour it into your SAP, the fresh crystal-clear water in the SPA will become CLOUDY. It may, or may NOT resolve. Checkout my experience below. On the first try, I ordered this product directly from the manufacturer, but the season has ended. So, I dumped all the water from the SPA and waited for about 6 months before starting using the product. When the time was right, I filled the SPA with the freshwater and added the product into it. Immediately, I've realized, that there was a solid residual in the bottle. Not only the content was claudy, there were solid particles in it! I hoped my filters will take care of it. And they did to some extent. The water was soft and good, but the water stayed to be slightly cloudy. Nothing could have fixed it until the full water change. On the next try, I learned my mistakes. I ordered the product from Amazon and used it right away. First, I poured the content into a clear glass to examine the state. Indeed, it was cloudy, but there were no solid residue. Good! Then, I was taking small amounts of the product and mixing them with a lot of water from the SPA (an intensive shaking of a bottle gives you a perfect mix). This is how I added all the content into the SPA in a "premixed" state. And I got the situation that you can see on the first two attached images. Yes, they look very weird. Not many people would want such a result. But the filtering process and water heating did its job: within 5 hours the water became clear (the last image). Now, I again have a soft water with no bromine smell. And this time it's crystal-clear. Keep in mind, that all SPAs are different. For instance, my SPA cannot filter the scum on the water surface. It's a design flaw (I knew what I was buying, nobody to blame). Thus, it takes more time to take care of anything that is floating on the surface. There are better models that can efficiently deal with the surface scum, they may cleanup the water much faster.

I typically don’t write reviews, but I feel the need to share this with others who are going through the same thing I did. I bought an Intex inflatable hot tub several years back to see if I would use it enough to justify buying a real hot tub. I absolutely loved it, so I decided to buy a hot tub for my home. I used the new one and enjoyed it for about a year, then out of know where I began to develop hot tub rash, which became so miserable I was began to question my decision on buying it. Every time I got in my hot tub I would get a rash all over the back of my arms, my stomach, thighs and shoulder blades. The itching became unbearable!!!! I tried EVERTHING, from flushes, to changing the water twice a month, switching to bromine etc……. You name I’ve tried it!!!! I decided to give it one last try before selling my beloved hot tub. I saw a video about Spa Marvel and was hesitant, given my bad experiences……… I have been using it for about 2 months now and have seen a drastic difference. It doesn’t take take a lot of maintenance, or tons of chemicals to sustain the balance. Keep in mind….. you do have to stay on top of the PH and alkaline levels, but all I’ve done is added granulated chlorine to sanitize the spa……. It really does work as advertised. It’s not a miracle worker in the sense that you put Spa Marvel in and walk away expecting your hot tub to be maintenance free for 3 months. It has eliminated the need for adding shock to my hot tub and I don’t get rashes the way I did before Spa Marvel. I hope this helps someone who is battling he same issues I had. Keep in mind, I’m still learning everyday about my tub, but I certainly do recommend this product. I will give another update in a few months.

It would be an understatement to say we were having problems with cloudy water since we received our new hot tub. I literally thought we were going to have to sell it!! I tried a different brand of enzymes and every chemical available for hot tub clarity and disinfection, to no avail! So on a hunt for more information and a different enzyme product, I purchased Spa Marvel. Sadly, at first, it was still, cloudy. So I contacted the company for some guidance and Tim got back to me almost instantly! There is absolutely no comparison in customer service with the other company I was using, btw. Their advice was short, curt and repeatedly useless. Tim, on the other hand, spoke with me just about daily until we figured out the problem. He told me that he would walk me through this step by step until we figured it out, and he wasn't kidding! We did end up having to use their cleaner and filter cleaner, and then drain the hot tub and refill it according to his specific instructions, but it worked!! And we HAD cleaned, drained and refilled it just weeks before, with the old product line we were using, with no change. Spa Marvel did the job and it did it well!! I included before and after photos in this review so you can see what we were dealing with, and that before photo is AFTER I tried everything. Even 32 Tbs of chlorine, clarifiers, metal and stain removers, non chlorine oxidizers, high percentage H2O2 and vinegar and water changes didn't improve the condition even a little bit!! Turns out, the plumbing likely had some nasty residue left behind that the Spa Marvel spa cleaner took care of...not exactly excited to think about what we were soaking in, in hindsight! 😬 But we ARE incredibly grateful to Tim and Spa Marvel's products for sticking with us through the entire investigation process and resolution! Now, we have had our hot tub running crystal clear for the first time since receiving it (4 months ago and 3 drain and refills) and it is remaining crystal clear with VERY little effort. I use my tub just about daily, sometimes it's just me, sometimes it's 3-5 of us, but it hasn't budged from crystal clear since our last refill with Tim, and that was over a week ago. Does the job!

Drain your tub, clean filters, clean tub, fill tub pour bottle in and then test your alkalinity. I hated sitting in a highly chlorinated tub because my skin would be a little burny and tight afterwards and we always had to scrub to get it off. I also have experienced horrible hot tub rash (foliculitus) from other peoples hot tubs and are terrified if I don't smell chlorine before I get in. We even have resorted to taking test strips on vacations to test the water before we get in. Anyways, we were getting ready to drain the tub and clean it and i found this product on Amazon. Yeah it's expensive however, we did exactly what the woman in California who works for Spa Marvel said to do and BAM no tight skin, no scrubbing off chlorine on our skin. We have wonderful, soft, clean, no hot tub rash water!!!! We soak every night for 25 minutes except when it's below 20. We are in Iowa and this stuff is the bomb!!!! Bad reviews means you did not follow the exact directions. We have 2 sets of filters one in and one cleaned and dry and rotate on a 2 week basis. Yep Spa Master you rock!!!!! Get this!!! Call the lady!!! Get soft, fab soaks without even having to shower after. We don't share our hot tub...Not enough room haha.

This removes all of your used up chlorine without the need for shock. Less chemicals in the tub and makes your water last a lot longer.

I've had my new spa for 1 month now, and soak in it almost daily. I have sensitive skin that normally gets rashy when I soak in hot tubs, and I also have a consistent problem with nummular eczema, which creates little round rashes on my waist and upper legs that are unsightly and look like ringworm. Even bathing in my indoor tub with city water will trigger them to erupt, and it's VERY rare that I go more than a week without an outbreak of them. After reading that some users of Spa Marvel had their eczema resolved after soaking in water treated with the product, I had cautious hopes that my weird eczema might improve. After the initial shock (using Frog @ease shock), I waited 24 hours to add Spa Marvel, and another 24 hours before my first soak. I soaked for 1 hour, and the next morning, I had the most horrific outbreak of eczema around my waist that I've ever had. It looked like wasps had stung me all over my waist and legs. I was heartbroken. But I didn't spend $12k for a hot tub to not use it. I treated the eczema with steroid cream for several days until it moderated, as I consistently do to treat the outbreaks, and I soaked again. And repeatedly soaked every day for a week. 3 weeks after that initial outbreak, my eczema has totally cleared with no new traces of it. I have never gone this long in my life without that kind of break between outbreaks. I attribute the initial horrible outbreak after my first soak to residual high levels of chlorine and bromine in the water after the initial shock, and the fact that my city's water is high in bromine. Now that the chemical levels are back to background levels using Frog @ease, and the Spa Marvel has had time to do its thing, I am enjoying exactly what others have reported...my eczema is gone! (I know it is specifically related to soaking because I also have them around my armpits, an area that does not get submerged when I soak, and those are still present and being treated with steroid cream.) I can't believe it. I will update this review after a year of working with the Spa Marvel and Frog @ease products, with my own experience keeping water quality high with minimal chemicals. But for now, the fact that I can soak for an hour every day without looking like a leper has changed my life. I could not be more thrilled with this product.

We bought our first bottle of Spa Marvel Water Treatment and Conditioner at the end of December. We had just purchased our spa earlier that month but after just a couple weeks, we were getting rashes and bumps. I heard about Spa Marvel and thought we'd give it a try. A couple weeks later, it hadn't made much a difference, the water felt silky, but we were still itching and getting bumps. I contacted Spa Marvel and one of their support agents, Tim, responded to us right away. From our answers to his questions, we were able to determine that we either had a buildup of chemical residue (from overshocking and the acids used to lower the ph) or even possibly bacteria, since even new spas can harbor contaminants from water remaining in lines when the factory wet-tests them. He recommended decontaminating it, which was super chlorinating it and maintaining a 20 ppm reading for 72 hours then draining and refilling it. Throughout the whole process, Tim was right there to help us every step of the way, answering any questions we had immediately. And in the following weeks after we refilled it, he checked in about every week to see how everything was going. He provided us with a wealth of information and so many helpful suggestions. Since we refilled it and started over, our spa has been perfect and our family hasn't had any issues. I'm so glad that we contacted Spa Marvel and were able to have all the issues we were having resolved. Even though we were testing the water religiously and the levels were good, there was a lot we didn't know about and things we were doing wrong, being first time spa owners. We were worried that we weren't going to be able to use our spa and almost regretting buying it. But thanks to not only the Spa Marvel products, but to all of the help from Tim, we're now able to enjoy our spa and are loving it. He truly went above and beyond and Spa Marvel exceeded our expectations.

Ive just received this and the listed filter cleaner was not included. Very disappointed.

This is just a short term rating so far. First the tub is a Canadian Spa Co. Swift Current portable spa that is inside a insulated spa house in the yard so is covered all the time. Second only my wife and I use it mainly me on the really cold days in Winter we are in Canada. The tub we have has a recirculating filter pump that runs 24/7 is very energy efficient and filters the water continually. I bought extra filters and change them every Sunday. I normally use the spa once a day for 30 minutes and sometimes twice. We use only bathing suits that have not been washed with any kind of detergent just hot water. I was using firstly Chlorine then switched to bromine sanitation but both times bad skin rashes showed up plus the ph and the alkalinity and hardness and sanitizer levels were all over the place. Switched to Spa Marvel 5 weeks ago and only use non chlorine shock every Sunday after filter change and 1 small Bromine puck in floater at the same time. Result , rash gone, beautiful crystal clear water with the ph and other test levels stable with no messing around with other chemicals. The water feels soft on the skin no prickly feeling and there is absolutely no smell. Like I said only 5 weeks in but so far love this product it is working for my situation don't know how it would work in a party spa situation. I will report in another couple of months in how it is working out but right now I love this product.

For anyone with a spa, this product is a MUST. I've been using this product for 4 years now, don't require too many chemicals to keep my water nice and clear. Yes it's expensive but read the reviews it's worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and get the filter cleaner as well. I have a special filter you can't buy anywhere unless it's from a Master Spa dealer (200$) so I really take care of my filter with a soak every 2 weeks overnight in a bucket to preserve its life. I only run my spa from May 24 to send of Sept each year and winterize after.
