I've never had a problem with the cardstock being too heavy for this tape to hold. I've never had a customer complain that a card fell apart or that a component of it fell off or got loose. First buy has been great for paper crafting but also for everyday use. Stickiness and adhesive holding is just right. It is thick and sturdy enough to hold but still cuts off easily from the roll. It is clear which helps in areas where you dont want it showing but you can still see on surfaces like glass. If you position it wrong, on non-paper surfaces, it does come off cleanly with minimal residue. As you would expect, repositioning on paper does cause some tearing but not too bad if done carefully.
