M5 Neoprene Well Nut M5 with 20mm Marine Grade A4 Stainless Steel Pozi Screw (Pack 6) (E)

I have a kayak, and I suppose it is what everyone does - make improvements. I have added a number of tracks to my kayak to secure different items to the hull, and have always used these wonderful items. Stainless, so they don't rust, they are easy to use, and with a bit of silicone on the threads I have not experienced leaks. These are an invaluable item for adding things to your kayak. I've had the kayak for about 5 years now, haven't had any of these pull out or anything; no problems with them.

I ordered these for an entirely different non boating use, attaching a license plate holder to a 2018 Subaru Forester front bumper using the factory holes (which are sized for Japanese or European standards) because the holder's included mounting adapters were terrible. These well nuts just *barely* fit through the holes with a bunch of twisting, and the screws were a little too big for the holes on the holder. Fortunately the holder is plastic and I had a Phillips head screwdriver on hand to ream them out a bit. No more missing front plate! If you're doing the same, you might look for M6 size for easier installation. The well nuts themselves seem to be very good quality, they held up well to me holding them and repeatedly twisting back and forth to squeeze them through too-snug holes. The screws sure look like stainless steel to me and set smoothly into place and snugged down well to hold the license plate holder.

These worked exactly as expected! I have a slightly lifted 4x4 pickup and ever since one of my high school students received a ticket for not having mudflaps I fear that I'm on borrowed time, as I do not have mudflaps on my own pickup. My truck has oversized wheels and tires and I have fender flares that cover the top, but they don't protect anyone behind me from small stones, snow, and water spray. I know that I should have considered all this four years ago when I installed the wheels and tires. OK, back to the mudflaps and these well nuts. My flares are anchored directly to my truck with four to five screws each, but when I move the mudflaps outward to cover the full width of the tire there isn't any metal to fasten to. My solution, questionable as it may be, is to add one more screw mounting the flare to the truck and getting one, or two screws through the flap, flare and into the steel fender. Then I use two, or three of these well nuts to anchor the flap to the flare. I'm not sure how it'll hold up to Utah snow yet in forward, or reverse, but once I tightened up the four mudflap I stood up slapped the bedside of my truck and loudly proclaimed "well that ain't going anywhere". So far these well nuts have exceeded my expectations and were delivered quickly to my small western rural town. #GBR

I purchased a set of these to replace some broken rivets on my kayak. Opened the package and saw the instructions, and it said to drill a 10mm hole. When I measured the size of the rubber, it was closer to 9.2-9.4mm in diameter, so did a test drill with a 3/8" (9.52mm) drill bit in another material for testing and it held well. Installed it in my kayak with the 3/8" hole and it works well, probably better than it would with a 10mm hole. The outside of the well nut is not particularly thick so it may difficult to remove it because it will spinning in place.

I purchased two packs to install the front lip on my WRX. Very easy to install, they seem to hold well, no issues with rust after one year.

I needed to mount a small plastic box to an interior plastic panel of my Subaru. With these fit the bill perfectly. All I had to do was drill two 10mm holes in the panel, insert the plugs and then mount the box. Easy-peasy and a secure mounting.

Good quality, good for kayak handles

This is a must have for kayaks. I have beeb able to add so many hooks upgrade my seat ans keep the inner hull dry.

Used a 9mm wood bit to drill the holes in my kayak and pushed the rubber fitting with screw inserted all the way to make it easier to push into the hole, then undid the screw fitted the eyelet for my anchor trolley and screwed back in place to give a good tight fit. These are brilliant and a great service from H2o kayaks.
