I have taken the leash out on two surf trips so far, and going under 3-5' Orange County, California surf waves has not pulled or extended the leash thus far. It is sturdy, really attractive, but most of all, works on my board. Occasionally, it wraps around my leg, but I feel like my surf leash before did the same. My only quip is that it did not come with a key holder as promised in the picture. That being said, I would never bring my key into the war and trust it to stay within a small 1" velcro apparatus, in the water, while being pummeled by waves. So it's really no loss to me whether I have a key holder. SOOO all in all, Ho Stevie! 5 out 5 stars absolutely. The courtesy email sent to me after buying my leash, inquiring if I was satisfied with my purchase, was an unnecessary, but most appreciated gesture, which I believe makes for top notch customer service.
