The only thing I found odd and of lower quality is the two side handles, they are plastic. I will probably replace them with metal ones just for peace of mind. The padding on the barrel is the perfect amount, the sides are real wood and screws that are visible look to be of good quality. I have already used this alone and with my reformer many times and it has been wonderful. No creaks or scary noises come from it as you go through your movements. My husband (210lb) plopped down on it and almost gave me a heart attack, I thought he would crack it in two, but it was fine. That being said, I wouldn't recommend plopping down on it. The spine corrector is not that tall so long legs seem scrunched when seated but the barrel is a great size for most people's backs. **Q: I’m 5’10” is this too small for me? If so I am just hang off the side of my bed to get a good stretch. Ha!** A: My client 5'10", 165lb broke it. He is thin and his sits bones cracked it! Either move up to the $400 one or....hang off the bed! **Q: Does this have a weight limit?** A: I can't find an official mention of weight limit on the documentation. I can tell you it supports my 205 lbs. I can also say I do not "flop" my weight down on it.
