Is it normal for the pump to be pretty noisy? mine makes a lot of noise but i don’t know if this is normal. thanks!

It would be normal for the pump to make some noise.

How do you tell if the pump is a clockwise or counter clockwise?

The 4000 series Hypro roller pumps are set up for gas engine. Which is the opposite rotation of a tractor PTO shaft. Hope that helps.

What is the length of the shaft? The diameter is 5/8” what is the length?

The shaft is 5/8" diameter x 1.43" long.

Quick pump replacement

This is more effective than rebuilding an old pump. 1/2 hour to change the pump, taking care to not damage fittings. Works great ar 70 to 80 lbs. Pressure.
