Blades are not sharp enough, requires leaning my bodyweight forward to cut through the apple. Even then the slicer doesn't cut all the way through, I have to manually pull out all the pieces. And the core usually gets stuck in the centre. Also it works only for perfectly formed apples, if your apple is tilted then it cannot cut cleanly and the pit and seeds are not sliced out neatly.

This KitchenAid fruit slicer is solid and does exactly what it’s supposed to. It cuts clean, even slices with minimal effort and feels sturdy in the hand. Easy to use, easy to rinse off, and it saves a ton of time when you’re slicing apples for snacks or baking. Would recommend.
