JUICED 2.0 Never Tangle Zipper Earbuds Featuring ComfortFit2 Technology, Blue

Sound quality: I am listening to Katy Perry's Dark Horse as I write this review and the quality of the sound is amazing. I used to compete in sound competitions in car audio so sound quality is extremely important to me... the highs are crisp, the mids are there, and the bass is strong without being overpowering. It sounds good low, and it sounds good loud. I am flipping through my song library and have yet to find a song that these earbuds can't handle with aplomb! Ergonomically, these earbuds are very adaptable. I have small ear canals and it is hard for me to find an earbud that gives a good seal while still staying in my ear. I used the smallest choices and they are perfect! Other users complained that these are heavier and stiffer than usual, but I find that a bonus, in that they may also prove more durable. I like the flexible cord at the plug end and the zipper is cool and trendy while being functional. All in all, highly recommended!

I bought these earbuds for two reasons; I wanted to try the 'no tangle' promise and the 'stay in your ear claim.' I usually can't wear this general type of earbuds because they won't stay in my ears. For years I've worn the iPod original type but those seem to be getting harder to obtain and most of the ones by other manufacturers, such as the Sony MDRE9LP earbuds, have an L-shaped plug-in to the iPod. I put my iPod in my pocket which seems to stress the connection, causing static and the phones to fail shortly after I buy them. So..these earbuds... So far I'm very happy with these earbuds. They truly don't tangle which is on the plus side. On the down side, the wires are slightly heavier and more cumbersome than regular earbud wires but not so much that it matters (in my opinion). The wires plug straight into my iPod which eliminates the static and premature failure due to the wires breaking. Most important of all, these earbuds stay in my ears. The reason these earbuds work where others haven't is two-fold. First, you are supplied with three sizes of cushion (versus two for most brands) which allows a better fit. Second, the slight cock in the angle of the buds as they fit into your ear also greatly aids in making them feel more secure. I find the sound quality excellent although since I'm listening to audiobooks, I can't speak to their musical qualities. These earbuds cost significantly more than regular earbuds but are worth it to me because I can wear them. All the cost savings in the world don't matter if you can't use a product. The no tangle feature is excellent too, no more picking at tiny knots while swearing under my breath at how in the world two earphone wires can get so tangled when I just took them off for a couple of minutes. Bottom line: probably not for everyone because of the price but worth it to those who hate tangled wires or can't get regular earbuds to stay in their ear. About a month later: Just want to add an addendum to my review: although I still like the earbuds quite a bit, I have found that the earbud tips fall off with ridiculous ease. I listen in bed to audiobooks at night and in the morning, I can expect to find one or both of the earbud tips in the sheets. I've already lost one tip (the earbuds come with 3 sets).

I have tried several styles of ear buds and I think these are excellent for what I use them for which is lying in bed plugged into my cell phone listening to music. I do not use them for running or walking so I can't comment on them for those activities. And because I am laying down, I don't feel the weight of them where others have mentioned that they feel heavy while moving around. I could see where they would feel a bit heavy though. As far as the zipper part is concerned, I think that's more of a novelty than anything but they are easier to store away when not in use. One reason why I love them is that they are super comfortable. I have never owned any style of ear buds or head phones that I could wear comfortably for over an hour without even noticing that they are in and their unique shape really helps them to stay put in your ear. But also, these are the best sounding ear buds I have ever owned. The bass is excellent and the overall sound quality is really good. I suppose you could spend a lot more money for ear buds that sound better but for the money and overall quality, you would be hard pressed to find better ones. If I had one minor complaint, it is that the zipper transfers quite a bit of noise if you touch it when the ear buds are in. So....just don't touch it. But I guess that is one reason why they may not be good for running because if he zipper touches any part of your clothing, that noise will be transferred to your ears. For my use however, they really are perfect. Update: Liking them so much, I just bought my second pair just to have around the house. Besides using them for my Samsung Galaxy 4 phone and Kindle HD, they work great with my Casio Digital Piano.

Original review below. I just knocked off a star because the soft ear plastic piece constantly becomes detached and falls off. While you don't spend a few minutes untangling the headphones - you do spend a few minutes digging through your purse looking for that ear piece. I really liked the headphones. The zip idea is cute and works well. In comparison to my Bose Headphones Bose - price about 100 - quality of sound - good to great - comfort - good, very comfortable and easy fit - quality of build - good Zipbuds - price 25 - quality of sound - not as clear as Bose, but in no ways a bad sound quality - louder than Bose - comfort - very comfortable, I can't feel the buds in my ear - wire is the heaviest piece, you can feel wire - quality of build - good (we'll see if it holds up for a year or more) - wires are a decent thickness
