Dubious but was brilliant on the beach this year
Was doubtful about this product but over the past few weeks I have come to love this. It is fairly bulky but transportable. You need to take the protective plastic off of the legs before taking it to the beach. As the manufacturers say the trick is to keep it all very stretched and tight. Worthwhile to set it up and then adjust and readjust a few times to get the poles, sandbags and shade perfect. Went set up provided great shade, withstands very strong winds (although flaps worryingly). Easy to put down and stow when finished for the day. It’s not so common and the number of times people asked us where we had got it from and what a smart idea it was. Strongly recommend it, especially if future summers are as hot and dry as this one.

Amazing sun shade. Just buy it!
This is a photo of our trip to Sardinia, Italy. We bought the XL version and brought it all the way from Ireland knowing how hot it will get here in summer. We have two young kids so wanted to make sure they’re fully covered. It was quick and easy to setup and very stable even in a fairly strong wind. Gives excellent shelter. Everyone on the beach was looking jealously at us as they all had the standard small parasols. It does cost more than most brands but you have to pay for quality. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone heading for the sun. Enjoy!

Lovely Shade
Used this the first time in Greece. Easy to erect, take down and pack away. It withstood 20mph winds on the beach. It's footprint is bigger than I thought it would be but OK on quiet beaches. It drew a bit of attention from passers by.

Great beach shade
We used this for a group of 11 in ibiza. Quick and easy to assemble and as long as you follow the advice of stretching the shade out as far as you can and over filling the bags with sand, it does stand up to a moderate sea breeze. I was surprised we were the only ones on the beach with this type of sun shade. It does take up quite a bit of beach space due to the footprint of the stretched out legs, so might be less suitable on small or packed beaches. But more robust than a parasol. Easy and light to carry in the bag. Quite expensive for what the product is, but so far feels like the quality will last. My relatives use a much more expensive Australian beach shade back home and even they were impressed by the sun ninja.

Great product
We are very happy with our Ninja. Very sturdy, easy to use. At the moment we are at the sea coast and the wind is 20km/hour our tent is on it's plase without problem from the wind.

Brilliant
We bought the XL. So long as you have sand you will pop this up in around 6 minutes max. Packs away in 4 minutes if your sprightly. Makes a sun umbrellas look inconsequential and pointless. Really easy to pop up. Used in Dubai and able to sit out on beach all day. While we were getting it up we had an audience! Bring along a couple of air filled pillows and you’re all set. People were in awe of the sun protection we had. We even had a couple of rude people just come and stand under our Ninja to get in the shade. What’s all that about. Great purchase. No complaints. Go ahead and buy one.

Envious looks
Easy assembly. Saw a few reviews about it being unstable in the wind. I can honestly say the wind wasn’t a problem. Another bonus was that the heat of the sun didn’t radiate through the canopy. Was very comfortable to sit under, and several people asked where they could buy one.

Best Beach Tent around! Thanks Sun Ninja!
As our family are frequent beach goers, we needed a tent to protect us from the sun. This tent has been amazing, setting it up is a breeze to do! Also with the brilliant accessories like a sand shovel, foldable stability poles, ground hooks and a bag to pack away into! This has been an absolute game-changer for our beach adventures! I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a reliable and well-designed beach tent for a sun-safe and enjoyable outdoor experience!

Nice tent with big footprint
It's a really nice tent. Considering umbrella rent prices in Italy it was worth the money. It's really easy to set up by 1 person, even in small winds. With no wind to small breeze it was standing the whole day without needing to adjust anything. I tried setups with 2 legs (for low angle sun) and 4 legs, both were nice. In stormy wind you definitely need the rubber rings to fix the legs to the cover more firmly. The stretching legs take up quite some space. On an already crowded beach it would be probably problematic to place it without annoying anyone. Since the whole tent is stretching it doesn't block the sun 100%. I would say it's like 80%. It's still good to have a cool shade for a family of 3-4 and prevent burning (I guess).

New Beach Staple
We finally got to test our Sun Ninja, and I’m impressed. Setup: The key is the sand bags—fill them pretty much all the way. Lay it out and get the fabric stretched as tight as you can before the poles go in. Then add the poles and pull everything even tighter. That sequence matters. Performance: It’s held up really well, even with wind. Once it’s tight, it stays put and doesn’t flap around much. Rain: We caught a quick shower. Rain does filter through a bit, so it’s not going to keep your stuff bone dry. Plan on light mist under there—not waterproof. Shade & Sun: I love that I can still catch a tan but feel protected. It cuts the harshness without feeling like I’m hiding under a tarp. Huge win. Portability: Compact and light to carry. Easy to throw in the car and not think twice about it. Pros • Stable in wind when the bags are full and the fabric’s tight • Lets me tan while still taking the edge off the sun • Compact and lightweight—no hauling a beast of a tent Cons • Not waterproof; drizzle comes through • Setup is simple but you do need to really fill those bags and re-stretch after the poles Bottom Line: For beach days and park hangs, this is a keeper. Simple setup (once you know the order), great balance of shade and sun, and easy to carry. Just don’t expect it to be a rain shelter.
