I grabbed this 500g bag for £8 to give it a go and it was a pleasant surprise.I've tried it a few ways: with semi-skimmed milk, soy milk, and just plain water. It definitely mixes easiest with water (no clumps), but the taste is much better with some sort of milk (small clumps). The vanilla flavour comes through more and it's creamier.The vanilla flavour itself is fairly tame. It's sweetened with sucralose, so it still tastes sweet without all the sugars. The texture is really interesting. You get little bits from the oats and flaxseed, which gives it a nice whole-food feel instead of being a completely smooth powder.It seems properly nutritionally balanced too. It's got a good mix of different proteins that release at different speeds, healthy fats from things like avocado and flax, and even includes extras like MCTs and Ashwagandh. If you’re unwell and have trouble digesting food but need to keep your vitamins up, I highly recommend. Cheaper than Huel and less sugary than Complan. 3 shakes a day is a good 1200 calories and the texture is thick. A bit gritty but you have got to mix it well, I use barista oat milk.
