What is the return policy for this item?

It is not great. Only 30 days....don’t make the mistake I did & wait to open...

Can the hanging cord/chain be shorten?

Yes, just measure height from floor and remove excess chain links plus cut wire leaving several inches beyond links for attachment to ceiling connection.

Can this light be installed on sloped ceiling?

Yes it can. There is a cover plate that gets attached to the box in the ceiling with a loop that a chain hangs from.

Where can I find install instructions. It didn't come with any.

Ours didn't come with instructions either - we just had to figure it out. 
