Excellent to learn on
I have nerve damage in my hands and wanted a hobby that would exercise my hand and finger muscles, so I thought of music. I got my keyboard in January and started attending piano lessons shortly after. I love this keyboard, the keys are very light and easy to play (though my teacher says I need to practice on weighted keys I just find it too painful) and it's cheap enough that if I didn't enjoy it I wouldn't have wasted much money. Thankfully though I really enjoy playing and even though it's tiny when folded up and very light I have now made an area where it can remain set out full time. It sounds good enough on a low volume but tinny if you turn it up past 5 and I dont use any other sound effect setting than number 1 (normal piano), though obviously I have played around with the rest just to see what's what and I thought they all sound dreadful! But the piano setting is all I wanted and that's perfect for me. It is quite fragile so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something for a young child (or temper prone adult) as the joints where it folds up can very easily be destroyed.

Perfect for portable travel
Very sturdy and lightweight, connects to my tablet via a midi connector which enables me to connect it to simply piano. Conveniently I'm able to blue tooth attach my headphones, which in turn allows me to hear the keyboard notes and the simply piano app both at the same time. I hate that the keys are made out of really cheap plastic, and when u play them they make a noise due to cheap materials or build quality. The keys aren't touch sensitive either and looking how it folds I'm not sure why they can't be. I've had a few cheap keyboards and the sound quality and the key material etc were all whey better than this.

Great idea and good for beginners
The concept of this keyboard is great, and well engineered with a few caveats. If there is a mark II version of this keyboard, and they overcome a few minus points, it will be well worth more money. This keyboard is big unfolded! Although its small folded, its a whopping 52" in length, so make sure your table is long enough! Although I`m still learning, it`s excellent for practice, with the full 88 keys of a standard piano. It`s well worth the asking price. The BIG plus with this is MIDI. I use Cubase`s Halion on the laptop, (which gives unlimited voices, with better quality. ). On connecting the keyboard via the usb cable to the laptop, it was instantly recognised by Cubase/Halion, and was able to play any voice, I`ve played a Steinway Grand Piano! (the keyboard`s voices are muted). The keyboard is probably best used this way if you`re a composer, or a more professional player, and require better sound output. The few minus points? I worry about the strength of the hinges, they have too much play, and need care unfolding. The depth of the keys (front to back) are slightly less than a standard keyboard, but acceptable. Also the connecting section flat ribbon cable could be more robust, to cope with constant folding/unfolding. Last, the onboard speakers are small, so don`t expect too much bass. The built-in voices are are ok, but a little `tinny` because of this. Apart from this, its a very good pactice keyboard, and I`m pleased with mine.

Carry on 88 Keys Portable Folding Digital Piano
I am a Pianist/Musician that is looking to teach freelance and think this is a fantastic for any beginner/ Writer of music and to play for a basic accompany to sing along to or just for fun playing with the sounds and Rhythms. It is very light folds up into four coming with a easy to carry bag. Keyboard is rechargeable states 8 hours on one charge I have played it for 2 hours in one go. Sound not too good on their internal speakers but good enough if learning but can plug into portable speaker getting a much better sound and if plugged into a professional speaker sound is very good. Keys not feel like a normal piano but perfect for a beginner to get started for about a year and upgrade later. I like the portability as can take to other places to teach or play if no Piano available as I took it to work and played it at work as they knew I played but had never heard me play as could not take my Piano from home. I'm sure others could take it to there friends to play it for fun or to learn it professionally. Also Piano is a space saver for the house due to it foldability which I am sure lots will like where do you see you storing yours. It is basic but we all got to start from somewhere and if you want to be able to take it to other friends and possibly work colleagues to have fun with or just want if for yourself at home I recommend the Carry on 88 Keys Portable Folding Digital Piano

Excellent concept inadequately executed
A full-sized folding keyboard is an excellent concept when everyone's got a smartphone nowadays. By the look of it, this keyboard is minimalist and elegant. The sound quality is OK, and you can easily plug in an external synthesiser or speaker to augment the quality. That's not the problem. What was slightly annoying is the noise from pressing the keys - in the recorded video, it sounds like a typewriter. But if you are going to use it as a MIDI controller, this is not an issue either. The reason I returned the keyboard eventually was that I had to connect to a power source all the time when I plug it in with my iPhone. Because it uses the same USB port for charging and MIDI output, whenever it's connected to a phone or a computer, it charges the battery - which draws way too much power for a mobile phone - and iPhone does not like that for a good reason. Yes, you can use a lightning adapter with an external power supply to solve the problem, but it limits the mobility of this keyboard greatly. Ironically, on the manual, it even says "don't use your keyboard while charging, as it may reduce the battery life". If only they made it possible to use it as a MIDI keyboard while NOT charging, this product could be so much better. For the same price, I eventually got a Korg MicroKey 49 - has fewer keys, does not have built-in speakers, but offers much better quality with velocity sensitiveness, is still reasonably portable, and works perfectly with smartphones.

sturdy and nicely done. Best travel piano on the market...... for now
My order went missing and was refunded by amazon, i purchased locally. So i bought this item because i work on a ship and wanted something small and portable. This definitely fits the bill . The sound quality is lacking however when plugged into a decent speaker it offers a far better experience. The 3.5mm connector comes in handy to put through any speaker. The playablilty is very good, you can depress multiple keys simultaneously and not lose the quality however the keys have no pressure sensitivity so its a case of note at full volume of no note at all. The Piano folds down into a very transportable size and the bag offers a nice way to transport it however i have kept the box which is far better and has a carry handle. overall a really good item for the price, it has been really useful during the lockdown and is ideal for someone looking to learn with restrictions for space. The piano is really sturdy and the components are all very good quality.

Great for portability
Bought for daughter to take away/out. Daughter uses music to help regulate anxieties. She takes this to school on days where she has option lessons and is allowed to play. Took away on cruise recently to play in cabin. Fits the purpose bought for. Obviously not top end, but it is perfect for our needs away from home. Would definitely recommend.

An interesting device
This keyboard does what it says on the tin. In other words it folds to a compact portable size and it worls quite well. The sounds it produces are excellent but not through its internal speakers which are very porr. There are no dynamics provided and the keys work by switches. The actual shape of the black and white keys makes playing chromatically a little difficult and boogie players will find the key of C OK but the more accidentals, sharps and flats are needed presents a problem for the trained hand. A MIDI socket and bluetooth would be useful additions. The keyboard locks into shape but will bend if it's not fully supported e.g. on a table. The ability to transpose, the range of keyboard sounds, the rhythm accompaniments and the demos are all very good - but use a pair of good headphones. There are some good YouTube videos worth watching. Highly recommended but not for professional use.

Great product for the price
What a great product. It does not have weighted keys but for travelling what a great way to practice and keep in touch with piano playing. If you are looking for a piano like experience then it's not the right tool but for a quick practice especially during vacation or trips it's definitely a life saver.

Very good depending on what you're using it for!
I arrange music for orchestras and small ensembles, and I need something very small and lightweight that I can put behind my PC keyboard and mouse while I work, and put away in a cabinet when I'm done. For my use, there is nothing better out there, especially since it's a full 88 keys. Pros: - Very portable, very lightweight - I love the emulation of full-sized keys... even if you press down at the edge of a key, the whole key moves down at once which sort of feels like pressing a real key even though they're not as long. - Easy to setup and use - Great feature set... transposition, some demos, accompaniment, MIDI in and out Cons: - Can be a little finnicky to lay out without a relatively flat surface - Light, low-resistance keys means it's easy to make mistakes if you're trying to use it as an instrument for performance and not just a practice tool - bad speakers and sort of chintzy built-in sounds. Fun to mess around with, but not particularly useful - No velocity sensitivity. - Micro USB may be a turn-off for some. I wish it had USB-C My verdict... For a beginner, I'd recommend getting something that can sit out on a stand or table with better keys. More likely you'll play it if it stays out, and you'll develop much better habits with a better keybed. For a music producer, I would go with something with a smaller range and more MIDI controls like knobs and faders for simple note input and portable control, and then have a dedicated weighted keyboard for performance-type recording. For an arranger or on-the-go beginner or non-pianist that just needs a keyboard for practice, keyboard visualization, or other non-performance uses, this is probably THE best option out there since it has full-width keys but is as small and as light as those mini producer keyboards.
