Decided against ordering a cheaper unit, as I'm not sure I want to take the risk of being up on the step stool and having it unstable. A few dollars is a cheap insurance payment to not fall! I opened this stool as soon as I got it and was impressed with its construction and sturdiness. The mats on the step do a good job of preventing slipping (don't get them wet though - that defeats the purpose), and the unit stays open and locked - unlocking it is pretty easy but I don't think it will accidentally self-unlock. All in all I find that I have confidence on the safety and sturdiness of this stool - but like all other ladders and step-stools, it has to be on a flat, firm surface to have the maximum safe use. A good buy, quickly shipped, nicely packaged, and very useful for that top shelf you just can't reach.

The stool is solid and seems well built. I weight 250 and it holds my weight securely without a wobble. The button to collapse it is awkward to use, though. I end up fiddling with it every time I fold it up.

Compact, sturdy, good height to reach top shelves in kitchen. Stores nicely in my pantry, easy to fold up when when not in use.

Perfect little ladder for a small or large pantry. Doesn’t take up much room. Very sturdy, height is perfect. I’m 5’4 and can easily reach the top shelf of my pantry, for standard 8 ft. ceiling.

Extremely well designed compared to other stools. Very sturdy and durable. Very easy to open and close without pinching fingers. Full size lower step is a real plus for balance, especially when stepping down, compared to some other stools. Wider than most competitors, yet very compact when folded. Totally satisfied.

Great stool EXCEPT there is no non slip feature on the bottom of ANY of the feet. Was going to use this for my toddler at the sink (working with a very small space) and the first time she got on it the stool pushed out from under her and went frlying across the bathroom.

Really handy set of steps - folds down flat when not in use but feels sturdy enough when standing on the top step. I've used this for putting away groceries as well as decorating (but wasn't high enough to paint the room ceilings with though). This is a great set of steps that can be stored easily. My one word of warning though is the red release mechanism takes a little bit of getting used to. The strap handle and release latch are placed in such a way as to be easy to hold the handle and fold the steps flat with one hand - with even the slightest tension on the top step holding the handle, the release won't operate. This I have no problem with as it won't likely collapse inadvertently but the action of folding the steps does need a little practice is all :)

A sturdy step stool worth investing. Took a while to understand the mechanism but it is actually very easy to use once you get the hang of it. Does not take up too much storage space. Good buy. Recommended.

La elegí por su manejabilidad, por el poco espacio que ocupa, siempre encontraras un hueco en la cocina, como es mi caso para guardarla, pasando completa, ente inadvertida, Mandé me hicieran en mi nueva cocina armaros hasta el techo altos, para ordenar las cosas que menos se utilizan en el servicio, con lo que me vino de fabula para utilizarla cuando necesite alcanzar cualquier utensilio, además es del mismo color que mi nueva cocina, lacada en blanco. Es muy practica, ligera de manejar, pero a la vez consistente y firme, ya que al estar calzada en sus extremidades, no se desliza en absoluto por el porcelánico,pero sobre todo, como he dicho anteriormente ocupa muy poco sitio. Le recomiendo que la adquiera, le servirá muy bien para los pequeños apaños que suele haber en todos los hogares, muy practica y por el precio que vale no merece la pena estar sin ella.
