PERFECT SHAMPOO-DELAYED ORDER-
Dear fellow Amazonites: First of all, Buyers, please remember to take the time to leave feedback (it does not to have to be as long as mine! ) as it really does help fellow Buyers to know this information before purchasing. I have not returned one item to Amazon in a year and 1/2, partially, because the comments help me get it right the first time. I thank you for that. I am giving this a 5 star for the products ONLY. Please excuse me, I will leave this same roughly the same review for all 4 Paul Mitchell Tea Tree products I purchased. This is by far the best shampoo I have ever used and I have been around a while. Over the years I tried so many new "hot" haircare items. This shampoo is different. It TINGLES! This tingle is like nothing else I have ever used. I had my hair shampooed at Super Cuts and this shampoo was used. I noticed the difference right away and asked the lady what it was . She said "tea tree". Since then I have been trying every tea tree shampoos that that have tea tree in them. None of them had the tingle this one did. It will help get you going in the morning! When I saw this I thought maybe it was this one since it is sold in salons. BINGO! We have had a family crisis of late with mites due to wild animals in the forest having them where we live. We border the national forest and wild, beautiful animals are everywhere. I feed them and love them but not these mites! Our whole family is being treated. In my medical research I found that tea tree oil kills some mites and helps repel them however, I now believe one must soak the mites in pure tea tree oil for and hour to kill them! Pure tea tree oil is a little strong for us though to tolerate. I washed my face with this too in the shower and got the shampoo in my eyes. I even wear around the clock contacts so I thought it would be horrible if I got it in my eyes. It wasn't. My family will probably be on this shampoo for life, mostly for it's therapeutic invigorating benefits but also for possible anti-parasitic properties. My fine but thick, long (about 2 feet long) blonde, processed hair has been so dry due to all the products I have tried to kill these things with but since tea tree can be drying I ordered the conditioner as well. Glad I did. I really do need it and if I used another conditioner I already have it would wash out some of the tea tree shampoo application. This way the conditioner also feels so good and leaves the tea tree benefits in your hair. I have used hydrogen peroxide, alcohol, sprayed bird mite spray directly on my head which has known chemicals to kill mites (yes, i know, not a good idea but a person gets desperate with this agony), Desitin (terrible to get out, don't ever do it), direct application of antibiotic ointment, vinegar, tea tree ointment application and numerous medicated shampoos both for humans and dogs and "natural" products and get rid of these terrible things. None have. We are also treating our pets. I do not believe anything is going to get rid of these things without the internal treatment of ivermectin and antibiotics at his point, so am going to the Dr. to get Ivermectin. I already have us all, dogs too, on antibiotics. I did this after one of my precious little toy poodles died from the infections caused by these. I do not what to lose my other little poodles. I ordered the the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo, Conditioner, Bar soap and the All over body conditioner. I will review all of these for you. I thought the products were expensive. I still do but it is worth every penny. I hesitated at first to pay this price as we are on a strict budget but after researching other Amazon tea tree products ' I took the plunge'. My only regret is that I did not get the shampoo and conditioner in the large sizes. I needed these products overnight ( I have Amazon Prime and it is only 3.99 for the overnight mail upgrade) and Amazon did not have the pair available in the large sizes, unfortunately. The 10 oz for our family of three will probably be gone in a week and 1/2 shampooing and conditioning every day. It is small. I purchased the large size of the all over body conditioner and am glad I did. I love that stuff too! It is great to use from head to toe. My hair has not been this shiny in a long time. The texture is wonderful again. It brought back the slight wave in my hair! I also use the body conditioner on my face and body. It is not the same as the regular hair conditioner so don't confuse the two. It takes so little and is very concentrated. I put it all over me when I am just out of the shower and towel dried. My hair tangles so easily and this really helps so much. Using both the hair conditioner and body conditioner on my hair does not leave it flat and lifeless but so healthy looking. I even use this on my dogs and their coats are soft and shiny again too. They have their own, less expensive, tea tree shampoo for dogs! You will love this! I figure using all three products should help keep away pests to some extent but I would buy it anyway. You can't do better, I don't think. Finally, the bar soap. Just a good as the other products. I am use to using the liquid shower soap and have not used a bar of soap in a long time. Having said that, I will continue to use this and check to see if there is a liquid form. if not, it is OK. This soap is great. My 21 year old son loves this too. It is 'manly' enough for him and feminine enough for me. I gave my my Mother, who is 84 and has Alzheimers, a shower in it and she got so excited and just kept saying how good it felt. That made me feel good! I noticed that she smells so much better! She wears Depends all the time and sometimes the urine smell is a bit strong. Other soap has just not made her smell clean. This has a clean fresh scent I love. On the minus side....Amazon one day shipping placed on the 11th did not get delivered to me until Saturday the 13th. I was upset as we need these products immediately. I wrote Amazon but received canned replies and one, which clearly, the Reviewer did not really read my email. That made me more upset. Forgiving but upset. It would not have been quite so bad but several other of my overnight purchases and 2 day delivery items placed at the same time and next day, did not make it to me on time either, most not until the 15th. Usually I am not 'rattled' by little things like delivery delays, however, in this case some were urgent needs and being disabled or physically challenged now, I depend on Amazon timely deliveries. On the other hand, I had not had this happen before with Prime shipping. It is usually right on time. Hopefully it is the last time this happens to me. I signed up for another year of Prime mainly because of the convenience of overnight and 2 day delivery. You know the day you'll get your stuff. Ease of mind and handy in an emergency which we seem to have often! Hope these reviews help someone. Sorry for the length. Blessings.

Great product
Buying it by the gallon is a lot better buy. It has really helped my scalp too!

Unbeatable Value and Convenience
I recently made the smart decision to purchase a gallon-sized container of Tea Tree Special Shampoo, and I couldn't be happier with the cost savings and convenience it offers, especially considering the steep retail prices here in Alaska, where it costs approximately $1.48 per ounce in stores. One of the first things that struck me about buying in bulk was the substantial savings. When you calculate the price per ounce for the gallon-sized bottle, it's evident that this is a budget-friendly option. Plus, you won't find a better deal on this incredible shampoo anywhere else. The convenience of having a gallon at hand cannot be overstated. Living in Alaska, where stores can be quite a distance apart, it's essential to have household essentials readily available. With this one-gallon container, I no longer need to worry about running out of my favorite shampoo unexpectedly. It's a time-saver and a money-saver. Aside from the cost-effectiveness and convenience, Tea Tree Special Shampoo has been a staple in my hair care routine for years. Its invigorating scent and refreshing tingle on the scalp are unmatched. Plus, it leaves my hair feeling clean, revitalized, and incredibly soft. Knowing that I have a gallon of this fantastic shampoo at my disposal makes my daily shower routine a true pleasure. In conclusion, if you're looking to save money in the long run and enjoy the convenience of having a reliable and rejuvenating shampoo at your fingertips, I highly recommend considering the gallon-sized Tea Tree Special Shampoo. With the high prices we face in Alaska, this purchase not only makes sense economically but also ensures that you never run out of your favorite haircare product. Say goodbye to frequent trips to the store and hello to beautiful, healthy hair with Tea Tree Special Shampoo in bulk!

Always great.
Shampoo is awesome as always. Please pack the plastic bottle better. First bottle arrived with a huge puncture in it. Paul Mitchell has changed the quality of plastic in their bottles in the past year.

Great Product...but you might not want to buy it online
The product itself is wonderful. My boyfriend has used it for years & when he stopped he suddenly developed dandruff...I myself had never experienced dandruff until I moved to Florida. I used the head & shoulders green apple stuff (since all the official dandruff shampoos smell *terrible*) - but this stuff is so much nicer on my hair. The problem is the reality of shipping a 1 gallon (or 33.8oz bottle) jug of shampoo. It's heavy & since it's liquid it shifts the weight around during shipment. And while amazon always is great at putting liquid stuff into it's own separate bag...the lids on these specific items are clearly not designed to be shipped in a box with some air-puff for protection. I originally ordered the 33.8oz bottle. It arrived totally busted open - shampoo all over the bag it was in - and it looked like the actual pump top was broken. Since the 33.8oz bottle is about $1.15/oz - I was looking at a $1 of wasted shampoo & a useless pump top, so I returned that. Which is when I spotted this - and thought perfect - much less likely the lid will actually break - and a MUCH better price (about $.70/oz). Well...I was wrong - at least about the lid (the price is still great). It arrived. And somehow a piece of the white plastic screw-on lid chipped off...like a 1/3rd of the side of the lid...maybe I'm just cursed when it comes to the lids of this product...but that kinda sucked. Normally I'd be like no big deal, but seeing as this is something we're hoping to have last a while, the thought of storing this under my sink with a faulty lid - I can just see myself going to get it in a few months & finding a puddle of very expensive shampoo caused by us shoving something else in front of it not realizing it was down there... In the end I'll probably keep this one since you really can't find these anywhere - and the price is AWESOME...

Post-Traumatic Dandruff Maintenance
In the past couple years I've had worsening dandruff. Mine was not flaky; it consisted of extremely tiny white balls/grains- on some forums I've seen it called hair castings. All over the counter products (Head & Shoulders, Selsun Blue, Vichy) were not working, or only had a temporal effect, so I was left rotating between them for relief. Regardless, it got bad enough that less than a day after washing my hair they were reappearing around the crown of my scalp. My scalp was also oilier-looking between washes, and yet felt slightly irritated like it was too dry. The problem was embarrassing, and the worsening was worrying me. I went to my dermatologist; they prescribed two very strong anti-dandruff shampoos (ketoconazole 2% and ciclopirox 1% if you're curious) that are intended to be used in a short term manner. I tried both. I believe those helped cut back the volume of those grains and change the environment of my scalp, but I felt a little uncomfortable putting chemicals/drugs that strong on my scalp. I quickly turned to this tea tree oil-based shampoo to maintain the improvement. Before you ask why didn't I use it sooner, I didn't think this was as powerful as other OTCs like Selsun, and it's hard to swing the price tag. Turns out this is sufficient to keep the little grains at bay. Other pluses include that it doesn't dry out my scalp or feel harsh, and smells great (nice after using Selsun and those Rx shampoos which have a very medicinal odor). I still get a few grains here and there, mainly the day after, as I wash my hair every other day, but nothing like I used to. My second day hair also looks much less oily. The bottle lasts quite long since I only really work this into my scalp, and then rinse and use another shampoo through my the rest of my hair. If you suffer from hair casting/grains, you may want to skip the Rx and go straight to this and see if it works for you first- I think it's quite good on its own merit.

Love it.
Tea Tree Special Shampoo by John Paul Mitchell is a fantastic shampoo. I have provided front and rear images of bottle labeling. It clearly indicates a legitimate JPM distributed product. Pros: 1: Shampoo is gentle enough to use daily for all types of hair. 2: Tea tree oil is great for the scalp and has been shown effective in fungal and bacterial reduction. 3: Dandruff remedy: suitable for those experiencing mild cases. Shampoo is mild and does not leave scalp dried out, stripped of natural oils or feeling tight. 4: Scent: the light mix of peppermint and tea tree is refreshing and fades within minutes after drying . 5: Gently removes hair product buildup ( gels, hairsprays). *Spouse uses Got2B hair gel and hair spray to juice up his hair - it is like concrete when he gets done. The Tea Tree Special shampoo has no problem removing that product. 6: The website JPMS states that Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Special Shampoo is color safe, vegan, paraben and cruelty free. 7: I purchased the gallon ( 128 oz) size (at $ 92.72 and tax) to cut down on plastic bottle waste and saved a significant amount of money. Currently smaller bottles are at $22.00 for 16.9 ounces or $33.50 for 33.8 ounces. Watch the prices and your budget. Product arrived quickly and was packed carefully . Cap was taped securely and enclosed in plastic.
