Advantages: 1) They are truly easy to use and need little skill. Strip to the right length and push into place. 2) The resulting connection is easily inspectable. For a one-man job, this worked great to run multiple lines from the outside and then run multiple lines on the inside without the need for going in-and out on every run.

**Q: Wonder if it is possible to remove wires once inserted?  Is the connector still  usable after having done this?**
A: Yes, wire can be removed and connector can be reused. To remove gently pull on wire and twist connector left and right until wire comes out. Personally I use this type of connector on solid wires only.
