I also find that the coolness gives me a headache. So instead, I put it under my back, where I sweat the most, for a great cooling effect. Less noise, and I sleep much better even when I turn over. The cooling lasts an hour or so for me.It also works great keeping my back cool in the car in hot weather with or without the AC on.
