K1 Race Gear 70023018 Black Medium Carbon Fiber Racing Rib Vest

I ordered a M thinking it might be close, but I was thinking it might be too small...turns out it was nearly too big haha (when I need a new one I'll order a S as they run big). When I adjusted the straps the full way it fit fine and through out my last 24hr endurance race I never had pain and my kidneys didn't feel like they went through 10 rounds with Tyson. Win...

Has the look & feel of a quality product; I would recommend this Rib Protector to others.

Great vest; allows for a lot of adjustment in the shoulders and in the mid-section. Does not feel uncomfortable when you wear it - conforms nicely to the sides of your body (if you wear the correct size) The only down-side I can think of is that after about 10 sessions in a Rotax or World Formula cart, you begin to see slight wear on the surface of the carbon-fiber. It is a matter of time (most likely 20-30 hours of seat-time) before this gets to the point of having to replace the whole vest. It would be great if this product was available with carbon-fiber inserts that you could simply change-out whenever the sides wear out.

I've been very pleased with this vest. It's comfortable, and the straps stay where I want them. It has the right amount of padding, but could be considered too soft if you want the feeling of pushing a hard surface right against your hard seat. Overall, I'm glad I bought this vs. some of the more expensive alternatives.

I'm 5'10 175lbs. Bought a large and had to cinch it all the way down, but it fit very well. Honestly don't feel it once it's been on for a minute or so.

Fractured my rib from a electric unicycle crash. In ten days I wanted to ride. Decided to try these rib protector. Very comfortable. Lightweight yet sturdy. Hope not to crash again in the same manor but I have no doubt this vest will lesson the impact if I do. A broken rib is no joke. Good buy. Price is fair.

Have only recently invested in this, having used a loaner (with less padding…). This is a GREAT SOLUTION! Have used it the last 3 times for practice & it works WAY better than the cheaper options….. REALLY DOES provide decent protection!

Suit has vertical and lateral adjustment. Good quality nylon straps, the carbon fibre feels to be 2-3 layers thick which is strong enough to absorb a decent hit and spread the shock across the pad but it’s thin enough to provide a bit of flexibility so it’s not digging in anywhere. The carbon pieces are also shaped very nicely to the curvature of my ribs. I’m wearing a large and I’m 5’10 and 170lbs. My straps are fully tightened. If you are this size or smaller I would say get a large or medium. This large size is good to up to 200-210lbs at my height. Hope that helps. I would buy it again for sure if I had to

I'm using this on top of a chest protector for dirt bike riding. After breaking a rib (so painful), I won't ride again without protecting my sides and wow, this vest is the real deal. As other reviewers say, get one size smaller. I'm 6 feet tall with a rather slim build, and I should have bought a medium instead of a large.
