Clean, Natural-Looking Tubing Mascara That Actually Stays Put
Blinc Original Tubing Mascara is all about that natural, lash-enhancing look—think length and definition without heavy volume or a “made up” feel. The tubing technology wraps each lash in lightweight polymer tubes, which is why it delivers that clean, separated effect while still feeling very minimal on the eyes. It builds a soft, tint-like finish rather than a dramatic lash look, which makes it especially nice for everyday wear or anyone who prefers subtle definition over bold mascara drama. Where it really shines is wear time and removal. Once it sets, it stays put through sweat, humidity, and long days without smudging or flaking, which is a big reason tubing mascaras have such a loyal following. At the same time, it comes off easily with just warm water—no rubbing or harsh remover needed, which makes it feel almost effortless at the end of the day. The tradeoff is that it’s not very volumizing and can feel a bit “light” if you’re used to thicker, more dramatic mascaras, but for clean definition and reliable wear, it does exactly what it promises.

Splatters Everywhere
I bought this tubing mascara because it said it was the original and I thought it would be fantastic. I’ve always used Thrive but wanted to try something new. It cost more than Thrive, but I was willing to try it. I have used it for 4 days now, and I will never use it again. I spend at least 10 minutes a day, trying to clean up the splatters and leaking liquid all over my eyes cheeks eyelids. I should’ve taken a picture of what it looks like when you put it on, but I’m not going to use it again. It drips into your eyes, it goes above and below your eyeline, if you look down it gets all over your cheeks and if you look up it gets all over your eyelids. I decided to wipe off the wand dry and I stuck four or five Q-tips down the tube to try to soak up some of the liquid, and it made no difference at all. I’ve had mascara before that is a little too wet at the beginning but this is ridiculous! I’m 62 and I’ve probably used 30 to 40 different brands of mascara in my life. This is by far the worst drippy mascara I’ve ever used.

Favorite mascara
Blinc is my favorite mascara. I've been using it for a couple of years, but bought it this time on Amazon because the price was cheaper than Sephora or Ulta. The formula I received was fresh, not expired or clumpy. The "tubes" are so easy to get off with water and gentle pressure. The best part is the mascara will not run when you're sweating/working out, or crying (unless you're rubbing your eyes a lot while you're crying - i.e. water & pressure). Swimming does make the tubes come off, especially if you just applied it less than an hour before swimming. I'm not sure if letting the mascara dry longer would solve the problem, but I just don't wear mascara anymore if I plan on going swimming. I think part of the problem is when you come up from under water, it's instinct to rub your eyes so the water doesn't get in, thus applying pressure. If you haven't used "tube" mascara before, it may take some getting used to. It feels different, more liquidy, when applying, so I've heard friends who say it makes their lashes stick together more. Also, if you wait more than about a minute after the first coat, you won't be able to apply a second coat. The wand won't move, the wet mascara just sticks the wand to the dried mascara. If you want thicker lashes, make sure to apply the second coat immediately after you apply the first. Makeup remover doesn't work at all, so if you also wear eye shadow/liner, you'll be surprised when you try and take it all off with eye makeup remover. Normally, I use water first to take the mascara off, then use eye makeup remover the take off the eye shadow. The tube itself lasts a while, I suppose as long as regular mascara. You will notice when it starts to get dried out, because it's not as "pressure-proof" without water. Like if you rub your eyes, some might flake off, but still not as bad as regular mascara.

Original Dark Brown Blinc Version
Pro: I used to buy this in a taupe brown color and had hoped it would be a softer look now that my hair has more silver than blond and light brown in it. It's much darker than the original one, more brunette in color, almost black. It dries to a medium dark brown, so it's softer than the black color, but not by much. I have both this and the newer version only available in black, and I can use both for now. The best part is that they are both easily washed off with just warm water in the shower or over the sink. It is NOT your eyelashes that are falling out due to breakage, ladies. It is designed to slip off in tubes, and even if you go in the water to swim, it will never smudge and leave a mess provided you've allowed it to dry completely. If you go to bed without removing them, you still won't have smudges, but you will likely see tiny lash-like tubes on your pillow. It doesn't stain anything but it will rub off eventually. I don't leave makeup on my face ever. Your skin needs to breathe, and if the tube gets rubbed into your eye, you will notice it just like if an eyelash got in your eye. No mystery there. Cons: Neither of these wands are designed to act as an eyelash curler, which I never use because my lashes are long and still naturally curl up. I purchase this type of mascara simply because they need to be colored in order to see them now that I'm turning silver in my 70s. I also have minor allergies that tend to irritate my eyes so that I forgetfully rub them when I get tired. This version tends to have goop on the end when first opened, so I use a bit of toilet paper to blot the end prior to applying it to my upper lashes. Occasionally, if I want a more wide-eyed awake look, I'll touch the end lightly to my lower lashes instead and then use a dry brush wand to distribute it on my lower lashes. It WILL smudge if you mess up before it has a chance to dry completely, but easily washes off with a wet Q-tip so it's not a big deal. I use this sparingly, but if you are wanting more of a false eyelashes dramatic look, simply wait until it dries slightly, and do another coat. They also make a primer in white or black though, so if that's the look you want, use that first and then seal it with this Blinc tube mascara or the newer version.

Perfect Mascara EVER
Tired of using any special make up removers at the end of a 12 hour work day? Start with changing your mascara to Blinc. This is the EASIEST mascara to remove. I have unfortunately long and straight thick based eyelashes that quickly taper to a long barely visible point. All other mascaras I have tried, which have been MANY, tend to clump, apply unevenly, weigh down the artificial curling from my eyelash curler, or won't last beyond 2-4 hours without "shedding." When I find one that does survive these factors, it requires an unholy concoction of chemicals to remove (with a few eyelashes). Not Blinc. Things to know: *A fresh bottle lasts me nearly 8-10 months of 4-5 days per week use before it gets that sticky feeling at the end of my lashes. *It is NOT particularly thickening. While it helps with my thin ends due to having long lashes, it does not make them anymore thick than other mascaras. I do not use mascaras marketed for volumizing, so take that for what you will. *The applicator is this partly sinusoidal shape which doesn't do much to help with actually applying over other shapes. However, the applicator is wide enough with fronds long enough to get down to my bases without overapplying to my ends when multiple passes are needed--a huge plus. *If you have long eyelashes, apply quickly and with multiple coats so you get adequate tubing. If you stop part way and then restart later it could get sticky, clumpy, or apply strangely, even on a fresh bottle. *If you get it on anywhere you don't want, it's totally fine. Let it dry and then you can scratch it or push it off very easily with tweezers or a fingernail. It won't leave any black smudges! I have used this mascara for the past 3 years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. It might not be for everyone but it's perfect even for those who have 5-8 minutes to put a full face of make up on in the morning.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to review this...
I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to review this... In the end I decided on a basic pros/cons list to determine how I felt. Let me start by prefacing; I am very picky when it comes to makeup. ESPECIALLY mascara. I am one of those crazy people who expect both length and volume (although I prefer volume over length) and waterproof, but easy to remove. This checked the easy to remove box, but that was it. I just recently learned about tubing mascara and thought it sounded like an awesome way to cut down on the makeup staining under my eyes. I had to decide between this one and Thrive. In the end I ended up choosing Blinc because I could order through the convenience of Amazon Prime. When I first received it I noticed how clumpy it made my lashes look, but how easy and innovative it was to remove. I thought I must be doing something terribly wrong. I tried several more times, bought an eyelash comb, but nothing I did made it look any less clumpy. I tried this mascara for 3 weeks, trying to give it the benefit of the doubt. Con #2, in humid weather, do not expect it to stay on. When it gets humid like it does in the Midwestern summers, by halfway through the day it began to feel like I had tar on my lashes. Then I would notice flakes hanging off my eyelashes and all over my face. The really sad thing is, though, when trying to get the flakes drooping from my lashes, it frequently took the lash with it. I lost so many lashes it was unreal :( Finally, after trying every trick in the book, I decided to suck it up and order Thrive. The first day I got Thrive I tried it on and my lashes were SO lengthened and spaced, I was ecstatic. Thrive doesn't come off quite as easy as Blinc did, but it also doesn't seem to start taking itself off halfway through the day. I still get clumps here and there with Thrive, but no where near how terrible it looked with Blinc. I would definitely tell anyone and everyone, if you are trying to decide between Blinc and Thrive, be patient and get Thrive.

RECEIVED, OLD USED PRODUCT!!
*This is a review of what was shipped to me, NOT of the product itself* I've been using this mascara since it was first called Kiss Me and imported from Japan, so for over 15 years. It's the only mascara I use. I certainly know all of the versions/packaging/appearances that have come out over the years. The CURRENT version should be a tube that is sealed full length with the perforations to peel and open. This sealed tube arrives inside a screw top aluminum cylinder. What I received was an unsealed tube in a small, worn, bent up cardboard box instead of the aluminum tube. Blinc has not distributed the mascara in the box in YEARS. For a second I thought maybe they were going back to the box, but I inspected the mascara itself (unsealed) and I believe not only was it old but that it had been used. The formula smelled funny and was watery. Back to Amazon it goes. I included a note in the packaging about this so it doesn't get thrown on a shelf and mailed out to someone else. I can't imagine where this old tube was hiding for them to pull it out, but the appearance alone of cruddy packaging should have been noticed before it was shipped out. As far as the REAL mascara goes... still love it. I'm not one to try and build up tarantula legs on my face, not sure this product will do that, but I have medium-long natural lashes and a couple quick swipes does the job. I don't have to touch my eyes for the rest of the day, removing it is as cinchy as they claim, and no racoon eyes or dusty little bits flaking off. From now on I'm going to go back and purchase from Blinc's own site. If someone not familiar with the product had received what I did they would have thought it was garbage, and rightly so. Additionally there is a high risk of infection when using old eye makeup. I'll wait the extra shipping time to be sure I get what I am paying for.

Blinc is amazing. be sure to read this.
if you have sensitive eyes.. use Blinc... if you loathe smearing and smudging and end of day blurring... Use Blinc if you want to go on a swimming date and have perfect eyes.. Use Blinc. If you want your eyes to look as good on Wednesday Morning as they did on Tuesday morning, use Blinc. Blinc doesn't leave your eyes until you apply warm water.. no need to use makeup remover.. it won't come off easily with eye makeup remover anyway.. but it comes off very easily with warm water and a little facial soap. i have also used the primer and the heated eyelash curler. the curler is like a curling iron for eyes. but not dangerous. Blinc is an amazing product. it was first introduced by my doctor and then I was able to find it in store.. now i can only find it on Amazon but I love it and you will too... fair warning... when you jump in the shower snd start to wash your face, your hands will be covered with what you think are your eye lashes... in fact.. that is the tube of mascara that paints your eyelash,, is just slips off. its like a porcupine shed the shell of its quill...its hard to explain as this product is totally unique... but it lengthens more than any...is shiny and natural looking.. it never smears or smudges. its stays put until you remove it..you can swim in it for hours.. but it will come off easily when you add warm water. convinced.. please buy it...I want to keep them in business so I can continue to use them.

Does what it claims
I have been using this mascara for a few years now and I have found it is the best for me. I have sensitive eyes and this does not irritate. I find the "tube" feature does work well and the mascara stays on all day without flaking. Despite it's staying power it is easy to come off with make-up remover or facial cleanser. I have also found just water can work as well and I would not swim with it for long. I wish is dried a little faster as you need to make sure you keep your eyes open for about 5 mins after application to keep from having lashes stick together. I have also tried the version with the fuller brush and find this version smoother and easier to apply without clumping. That said it still is a little expensive.

Miracle for sensitive eyes!
Doesn’t flake at all - I have very sensitive eyes and this is the first mascara I’ve found that I can comfortably wear all day. Does rub off with makeup remover wipes but otherwise stay all day. Highly recommend if you are sick of flaky mascara!
