The old ones were definitely worn out -- streaking, etc. I put these on and they clean the windows perfectly. I would say a great value for the money and not too difficult to put on. The instructions were not 100% clear but since I had some similar ones on previously I could figure it out. I did clean the windshield thoroughly and applied Rain-X to it so that it would have a nice surface to seat on and they work perfectly -- smooth action, no skipping, and no streaks.
