Would this be a good gift for a young, playful, funny 9 year old?

As a devoted and somewhat experienced 'fumehead (Nearing 150 full bottles in my wardrobe, ranging from the very affordable to super luxe expensive), I would say that this is perfect for a younger tween. Mad Potion is probably the "youngest" Katy Perry fragrance, but the kitty bottle would please a 9 year old more.

Does amazon sell real perfumes ?

It's hard to say. Nearly everything on Amazon are knockoffs just like eBay. Many sellers buying real item, removing content, switching with junk products and selling it as real but opened. On Amazon, they just get the junk from China. You don't know what's really in it and if it's really safe. It can be sealed, but that doesn't mean it's authentic. It's best to buy from authorized retailers because they actually sell real authentic products.

Which one do you like better, Purr or Meow, and why? (I know this is very subjective.)

I personally like Purr better, I feel like it has a more floral scent, I want to say it's stronger that Meow but it's not a strong scent by any means.

Does the scent stay long?

It's such a soft fragrance ..it doesn't last all day , but you will love the smell
