The Vest has a large rear pocket for empty shells that would work for dove at least the number I would harvest on an average hunt. LOL The vest also has 4 ample front pockets, smaller one inside larger one, for shells and phone etc. plus a vest pocket for your cigars. **Q: does the vest have a sholder pocket for jel pack sholder pad /is there a large pocket on back of vest** A: There is a shoulder pocket for a jell pack / shoulder pad in this vest. As far as the back of the vest is concerned, it's very similar to a game / bird hunting vest. The "pocket" can be easily accessed with either hand and is made of black nylon netting (identical to the front of the vest).
