I'm glad they still make this old school opener. It's much easier to operate and works better than the new styles that are currently manufactured !

I want to give this 5*. It works well enough & I have been looking for years for this style of can opener. It just works. It is a little harder to turn, but it never skips any part of the lid. Having a liquid pour end is great for draining & makes this more versatile than other can openers. Unfortunately it doesn't fit my hand. The ones I grew up with were about an inch longer & resulted in better leverage. I would love to buy one that is longer for the house & keep this one in my camper. Even still, it opens the cans without leaving frustrating bits that did not get cut. Much easier to clean than the circle blades. Being all chrome just looks good. As long as you can turn the knob, it is easy to use. It would be great if this was 1.5" longer on each handle & if the knob was 0.5" longer in total for better leverage on both.

So many times newer style isn’t better. I am in my 70’s and this is all we had! The old style. I then through the years tried them all, electric, thick handled,…,on and on . I recognized this one and went back to it! Guess I fell for all the new ones that the kitchen engineers came up with! None of them had it over this little can opener. This is sleck, sharp, works time after time and you can’t beat its resilience and price!

It was easier to use than many are, and I like the steel construction, but it just doesn't seem very effective. The lid comes off all jagged and sometimes gets stuck in the can. The teeth slip, so you can be turning it, but nothing happens. I got a face full of enchilada sauce popping the lid out after it got lodged in the can, so that was less than fun. I got the one with the can tapper, so maybe the other variations are better. Ultimately, I'm pretty disappointed. The only reason I'm giving it as good a rating as I am is because it was cheap and seems sturdy.

This is hands down my favorite can opener. I don’t have any trouble with it like I do with most can openers. My old one got rusty and I replaced it with the exact same one. The only negative thing about it is that it could hurt your hands to use if you have grip issues or arthritis.

It's impossible to tell from the photos, but this product uses a piece of plastic to hold the crank to the opener. So I returned it. Should have used metal to handle the torque. Should have disclosed that fact to consumers.

ya despues de mucho años uno parecido que tenia dejo de funcionar y en lugar de comprar uno de esos que son mas grandes y plasticos opte por este ya que es muy parecido al que tenia y es de muy buena calidad a comparacion de los otros plasticos que se ven que no duran

Simple pero cumple su propósito

Fonctionne très bien, efficace.

Good quality and easy to use and clean. Purchased for $7 a few months ago but it seems the price has doubled since then.
