The case itself is awesome and extremely sturdy. but the screen protector is junk. Although it protected my screen fine for a year, soon after putting the case on my phone, lint, dog hair, and other schmutz got between the screen protector and screen. It drove me crazy for nearly a year. Though this didn't happen to me, if any tiny, scratchy particles (like sand) make their way under the protector, I could also see the screen getting scratched up. Long story short, I eventually broke the case in an attempt to remove and clean (or replace) the damn screen protector!!! The protector also started to pop up slightly, so I would have to push harder (sometimes repeatedly) to get the actual touch screen to respond. Don't be lazy and/or cheap like me! **Q: Can I remove the built in screen protector?** A: Yes it is very simple to remove.You don't even need a heat gun.Just give it a push around the case and it will pop off .It might crack because it is really cheap plastic.The case is a nice case but the screen protector is garbage. **Q: Do I need to remove the cover to charge the phone on the wireless charger?** A: The wireless charging was a bit hit or miss for me. It worked at first, but you had to find the sweet spot. After a couple days it didn't want to work for some reason. I know the charging station works because I took the phone out of the case and it charged fine. I do not know what happened. I do not know of a protector that does, really. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid Case With Protective Holster *by R***K on August 31, 2016* Seems like pretty good protection. Solid. Good coverage of phone. Buttons in the case cover the buttons on the phone. They work well. Screen protector is plastic, without adhesive, fits snuggly against the phone screen, and does not interfere with the functioning of the phone's touch-screen. A little tricky to slip phone into holster. However, an online video shows how. The way I did it after watching the video half a dozen times was to pry along a soft long edge of the case from near the bottom (not far from the middle) towards the top. I was then able to pry back a top corner. I then pried back a bottom corner on the same side and was able to insert that side of the phone. I repeated the exercise for the other side of the case and slipped the phone in quickly. The screen cover was not difficult to attach, but I did squeeze it in place along the entire perimeter of the case in order to make sure it was properly seated.I like the holster. It is heavy and fits the phone well. The only two negative issues so far are the following:1. I noticed a diffraction pattern resembling thin-film interference in the central portion of the screen while hiking in 95-degree temperatures. The pattern went away when I got it out of the heat. I attribute this phenomenon to expansion and consequent deformation of the plastic screen protector due to the heat. I viewed the distortion as a curiosity. It did not impact any of the phone's functionality. Nor did it prevent me from viewing the phone screen. The deformation was only temporary, as I did not see it again under normal room temperatures. No problem for me whatsoever.2. I haven't figured a way to remove the phone from the holster with one hand. This is a minor issue, but worth mentioning.I figured out how to remove and replace the phone in the holster with one hand while the holster is on my belt. These instructions assume the long axis of the holster is horizontal. The upper long edge of the phone faces the sky, the lower long edge faces the ground, the forward short edge faces ahead of you, and the rear short edge faces behind you. To remove, hold the lower edge with the 3 outer fingers of your hand, and the forward edge with your forefinger. Push with your thumb the upper (longer) side clip upward away from the phone. Pull with your forefinger the forward edge of the phone outward away from the holster, while holding onto it with your 3 outer fingers below and your thumb above. Reverse the operation to replace: slide the lower side of the phone into the holster. While holding the phone with your 3 outer fingers below and your forefinger forward, push with your thumb the upper side clip upward away from the phone. Ease the phone into the holster with all fingers. It's kind of like drawing and holstering a firearm. You get faster with practice.Update: I've used the case for 3 months and am very satisfied with it. I dropped the phone outside of the holster but in the case. It bounced about 4 feet down 2 carpeted stairs onto a bare ceramic tile floor. No damage to the holster or to the phone. I've dragged the holster against trees, the roof of a house, and wooden walls. Again no damage.Update: Last week I dropped the phone in case without holster from a height of about 4 feet onto a hard floor. No damage to case or phone. Screen protector still holding up after several months of abuse. Very satisfied customer. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Without Built-In Screen Protector *by Q***N on June 4, 2018* I don't know why companies keep adding in their own screen protectors.Don't get me wrong... This phone has a super sensitive screen and you want to protect it... but built-in screen protectors collect dust and need to be cleaned occasionally, which means taking the case completely apart, wiping the screen protector and phone, and reassembling.I do like the design of this case though. It has a more rigid rubber than other cases on the market which doesn't leave it feeling cheep and squishy, and the outside of the rubber has a hard plastic with several ridges that help offer grip and extra stability to the case (and surely direct shock primarily towards the outer edges of the phone (being that repeated drops from myself and my 1 year old son have resulted in paying $200 to get the screen replaced, I appreciate the idea of keeping the majority of the shock off the backside of the screen)).It does add bulk but I feel that my phone is better protected than the Otterbox commuter or comparable cases that have a lower profile. The higher bevel around the screen can be a little uncomfortable when using the edges of the screen and back key, but surely offers more protection for this extremely breakable screen.Note that I had my husband remove the built in screen protector as he did with his Otterbox. It appeared to come off relatively easy once he got a corner popped out. I read the reviews before buying this phone case protector, some of the people left reviews saying this is equivalent 2 an Otterbox, those Otter box cases are like $50, so I didn't take much 2 get my attention I paid $18.22 so I was able 2 save quite a bit of money & at the same time get the same quality material/protection for my Galaxy S7. This case is a full body protection case. The case has 3 pieces 2 it, it has a built in screen protector cover that fits over the front of the phone/then a piece that you slide onto the back of your phone that helps hold/keep the piece you put over the front of your screen secure/ in place/then it has a holster that when you put your phone in it, it covers the front of your phone. I have a glass tempered screen protector on my phone screen, however I can also use the screen protection that comes with this phone/it fits the phone perfectly so really I have 2 screen protectors on my phone which is great, I just want 2 make sure I don't crack my screen or break my phone if it should accidently find itself falling outta my hands. It is durable I can tell you that its not a cheaply made product very sturdy case/I really like that it has a 360 degree swivel belt clip on the holster so that I can clip my phone case on 2 my side of my pants 2 keep it in place/so I have easy access 2 my phone/this case has little protector flaps that covers the bottom of your phone where you plug your charger in your phone/where you plug your headphone into your phone it helps keep water/other liquids out of it/also will keep dust out as well.
