Best hitch brand out there

This hitch is very solid. I know it will hold up to anything I throw at it. I probably should’ve went with the 6 inch drop over the 8 inch, as the 8 inch is a little lower than I like on my vehicle once loaded with a travel trailer and the truck is squatting. With a 6” drop if i were to load something heavier, it would have more clearance from the ground. This hitch is also very heavy. I got in trouble when it delivered. I was at work and my wife tried to bring it in. I also don't think the delivery guy was very pleased when he had to take it to my porch. This hitch weighs like 70 pounds. I think the 6” is like 55 lbs, which probably would’ve gotten me in less trouble. Once i get larger tires, that may help with the ground clearance on the 8” drop. I have like 9” from the bottom of the hitch to the ground on my ram 2500 with stock tires when loaded with a 7000 lb travel trailer.

This is the beast of hitches. The Extreme Duty is the one rated at #30,000 lbs. for the 2-5/16" ball. It fits a solid 2-1/2 " receiver. Seems very well made. The welds are precision and the powder coating is xlnt. The drop seems like its a bit more than 8" but thats ok. I needed an excuse to lift my truck a tad...!! I will be adding some padlocks to the anodized pins that secure the ball(s) / slide for security. I have a locking hitch pin already to protect the main part of the hitch. This hitch will probably last an easy 100+ years..Great investment..My 14' RAM 2500 Cummins 4x4 makes a nice addition to it...

I bought this to pull a trailers with our F550 since the bed we opted for didn't allow for a full pintle plate. As someone that has 9 years as a fitter fabricator and a 3 year apprenticeship, I generally am skeptical when it comes to design and construction of what's out on the market. Not THIS thing. VERY well design and very well made. So far we have towed our 20' long fully loaded enclosed trailer and it's REALLY smooth. No banging and grinding like other pintle rings. The only change that we are considering is swapping out the pins for quick adjust to bolts. Other than that, I'm really pleased with our purchase. You WILL need the secondary piece for the pintle ring to keep it in there though Would buy it again without hesitation

The hitch has a rugged but elegant look. However if I have one complaint. For that price it should come with a receiver lock and one of the adjustable pins should be locking. I purchased those separately.
