no leaks on my AC line so far after a few months.

worked great on my a/c unit !
I soldered my outside 4 ton unit in 2008 and it is still holding strong with no leaks as of 2015. I first sanded the copper with 80 grit sandpaper. I then applied Harris SCLF16 Stay Clean Soldering Flux to the copper. Using a regular brazing torch with blue bottle I soldered the fitting and this stuff flowed out smooth as glass. I recommend this for a/c repairs if you don't have access to a 2 bottled welding rig that requires costly brazing rods as well. It does require some basic soldering skills.
