The net is lightweight enough to carry around for a long time, which is especially useful when walking through fields or trails looking for butterflies. At the same time, the handle feels sturdy enough for normal field use and doesn’t feel excessively heavy or awkward when swinging. The size of the net is also very good for butterflies. The opening gives you a decent catching area, and the net is deep enough that butterflies are less likely to escape immediately after being caught. I’ve been able to use it successfully with butterflies of different sizes. I also really like the extendable handle. Being able to adjust the length makes a big difference when a butterfly lands a little farther away or higher up. When I’m finished, I can shorten the handle again, which makes the net much easier to carry and store. The mesh is lightweight and works well for insects. I was specifically looking for something that I could actually take outdoors and use for butterfly collecting rather than a small children’s toy net, and this has worked very well for that purpose. Overall, it’s a practical and affordable butterfly net that is easy to carry, has a useful reach, and does its job well. I’ve already caught a number of butterflies with it and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in butterflies, insects, nature study, or casual collecting. Review: A professional net definitely worth the money. - A great net! Beats my homemade broomstick with the toy net attached at the end. This net is twice the diameter and the extension aluminum handle is lightweight and great for catching carpenter bees that are attacking our house and outbuildings. The net itself is really deep and I thought a white netting material would be a detriment but it works really well. Definitely worth the price and the extension handle lets you adjust the length in tight quarters. ## Features - Stainless steel and Polyester - Outer diameter approximately to 16" net ring for collection, 36" net depth, 2mm net hole for avoiding butterflies and insects flying out. - Upgraded Telescopic handle is lockable, stay extended and won’t twists while being used. Handle extends from 15" to 59", perfect for kids, adults and beginning collectors. - Nets for insect specimen capture, fit to capture different butterfly, dragonfly, bat, fish, bird, bee and other bugs. - Professional bug catching net is much more durable than others. - Easy to carry, easy storage. Quick assembly. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B089Y4QS58 | | Band Size Numeric | 16 inches | | Best Sellers Rank | #2,319 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #7 in Nature Exploration Toys | | Brand | RESTCLOUD | | Brand Name | RESTCLOUD | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 7,828 Reviews | | Display Size | 36 inches | | Fishing Technique | seine | | Frame Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Grip Material | Stainless Steel | | Handle Material | Stainless Steel | | Handle Type | Telescopic Handle | | Item Dimensions L x W | 16"L x 36"W | | Item Weight | 0.25 kg | | Manufacturer | Restcloud | | Manufacturer Part Number | Stainless butterfly net | | Material | Adjustable Stainless Steel Handle | | Material Type | Adjustable Stainless Steel Handle | | Mesh Opening Size | 2 millimeters | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Foldable | | Product Style | 12" Ring, 59" Handle | | Shape | Round | | ShellMaterial | stainless steel | | Size | 16" Ring, 59" Handle | | Sport Type | Fishing | | Style | 12" Ring, 59" Handle | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** RESTCLOUD - **Color:** White - **Item Weight:** 0.25 kg - **Material:** Adjustable Stainless Steel Handle - **Size:** 16" Ring, 59" Handle ## Images ![Insect and Butterfly Net with 12" Ring, 24" Net Depth, Handle Extends to 59 Inches - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61K5BkTylUL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Would this net work to catch a bat or bird that gets n my house?** A: This is exactly the reason I am here...bats and birds! My cat sometimes brings birds inside and it would be easier to catch them with this. And just last night I had a (^%#@!) BAT in my house! I wouldn't have felt so helpless if I'd had this net to catch it with. Thanks so much for your question. **Q: How do you connect the net to the ring? It came unattached** A: The hoop is not connected to the handle. Put the net on the hoop. The two ends of the hoop have black plastic on them. One has a screw sticking up, the other a hole where the screw threads through. Connect the two black plastic pieces and then screw the non handle end of the handle on the screw on the hoop. The net might fit a little tight to start with. **Q: Restcloud, do you sell replacement nets for these? prior questions and links to replacement nets don't seem to work.** A: Hi customer, There is only a couple of customers need replacement nets in a month, so we do not have it for sale again. The item covered by 1 year warranty, if there is any issue with butterfly net, please email us your shipping address with your order ID to restcloud@hotmail.com , we would like to send you a replacement butterfly net out free of charge. **Q: What material is the net made of?** A: It has the feel of a nylon or polyester similar to a window screen but slightly heavier. Although I also use cotton nets because they are softer, cotton nets get tangled in underbrush more easily. I’ve also noticed that this net is deeper than what I am accustomed to but it allows me to capture more and hold them in the net if I go into a “collecting frenzy” ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lightweight, Easy to Use, and Great for Butterfly Collecting *by W***G on September 8, 2026* I’ve used this net several times for catching butterflies and other insects, and I’ve been very happy with it so far. It will bend easy if you're dipping this into a pond or lake. But the netting is solid and the pole seems ok ## Frequently Bought Together - RESTCLOUD Insect and Butterfly Net with 16" Ring, 36" Net Depth, Handle Extends to 59 Inches (16" Ring, 59" Stainless Handle) - Kids Telescopic Butterfly Fishing Nets for Kids Catching Insect Net Outdoor Tools for Catching Bugs Fish Insect Ladybird, Extendable 34 Inches and Anti Slip Grip --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.th/products/251456534-insect-and-butterfly-net-with-12-ring-24-net-depth](https://www.desertcart.co.th/products/251456534-insect-and-butterfly-net-with-12-ring-24-net-depth) --- *Product available on Desertcart Thailand* *Store origin: TH* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
