2 minutes to apply and looks amazing.
I just received this in the mail. I bought it mostly based on a YouTube video saying that it is the best screen protector for S7 and watched as he very quickly applied it and typed out a message perfectly. I do not understand the negative reviews. I opened the package which included a simple 4 step instruction guide, a wet wipe, a dry wipe, and a small cloth wipe. Directions say to use wet wipe to clean screen and dry wipe to dry it. I did this and it took about 30 seconds total. The wet wipe smells nice and immediately removed fingerprints without having to scrub at them. Directions then said to line up screen protector and set down gently. I used the openings at the top, which line up perfectly with your speaker and camera hole. It was perfect on the first try and only took about 10 seconds to line up. It is NOT difficult to apply for someone without normal hand coordination and balance. I'm not sure why others had a problem. Then, as per directions, I pressed around the edges to get a good stick. Afterwards (not in the directions), I pressed firmly throughout the middle of the phone, to make sure the glass was close to my phone screen. I then used the wet wipe to remove those fingerprints. It looks amazing, and as others have said, it does not look like there is one on your phone. Since so many said that their phones were no longer sensitive to their touch during use, I was a little nervous at this point. I had watched the guy in the video use his immediately with no problem, so I just decided to text my friend about my new protector. I typed out about a paragraph, including words with the letter "p". That seemed to be the most common issue with lack of sensitivity, along with the Zero. So I typed a few "0000" and then backspaced to remove them. I sent the text. I then checked to see if there were any mistypes or missing letters. There were not. So my sensitivity, as far as I could tell, was exactly the same as before I applied it. There is a setting on my S7 to adjust the touch sensitivity. It was set to the highest sensitivity when I got it. I wonder if the problem for others is because they had lowered their sensitivity at some point in the past, and that is why they had problems after applying it. It did not interfere with applying my new lime green Ballistic case. Time to go show it around town. Expecting all my friends to be ordering one by the end of the day. =) UPDATE: After a couple days I lost sensitivity and now I have to push very hard on areas around the edges. It is extremely hard to type. This seemed to coincide with the time my new case arrived. I found other reviews where the opposite happened.... Low sensitivity when first installed, but getting better over the next couple of weeks. If I press down hard around the screen like when I first applied it, the sensitivity is better for a little while, but still not as good as when it was first applied. It may be that the case is causing it to lift up or something. I will try using it without the case again for a few days. I will update if I figure this out. UPDATE: THE PROBLEM WAS MY CASE. Without the case on it, the sensitivity is fine. Easy to type, doesn't miss a letter. I inspected my case and noticed that the seam edge that touches the screen edge is sharp and protrudes slightly. This was obviously sliding under the screen protector and causing the loss of sensitivity. I sanded off this sharp edge on the case, and put it back on my phone. Now there is no problem. I reaffirm my 5 star rating for this screen protector.

Better than expected - excellent glass screen protector
My previous screen protector was a plastic film protector and it worked very well to keep my screen free of scratches and breakage. A precipitous nightime fall rendered my screen protector compromised and the search for a replacement was on. In the past, I have shied away from glass screen protectors due to their expense and my inexperience. So I took a risk in ordering the TechMatte screen protector. Packaging: The screen protector arrived in a slim package that is identical to the one pictured. Inside the box were some very simple instructions, a small square of dust-pickup stickers (these were handy), a small screen chamois, a wet wipe and a dry wipe for cleaning. Installation: Installation was easier than I thought. After removing my old film and removing the gunk and dust that had worked it's way underneath, I simply removed the adhesive backing on the screen protector and carefully placed it on my phone. The screen protector has cutouts for the home button, front-facing camera, the upper speaker and the sensors to the left of the speaker. It also has windows in the black portion that allow you to see "SAMSUNG", your blinking status dot, and the app and back buttons on the bottom. Here's where I goofed. Although I had an excellent line up on the top, I was slightly off on the bottom. While the app, home and back buttons all worked it did not look correct when they lit up. So I gently peeled the screen back up and pressed the buttons before lining it up and presto! Perfect alignment. Look and Feel: Overall the feel is terrific, way better than my plastic film. It honestly feels like I'm touching the actual s7 screen, not the screen protector. It is smooth and touch response is actually better and faster than my film, no doubt due to its age. Nevertheless, a nice improvement. It does get fingerprints but they are unnoticeable when the screen is on and it is, of course, easy to wipe clean. The curve of the screen works well to eliminate any gap on the edge of the screen. That said, I have a OB case on my phone that negates the edge of the screen anyway (to hard to get your finger there to click or drag anything - annoying actually). It's quite possible that the black bezel (paint on the protector) may slightly dimish the visible part of the screen but with my screen protector I do not notice. Installation Tips: Press your home button to turn on the bottom soft-button lights so you can line those up easily. That was missing from the installation instructions and would have made that job a bit easier. You CAN lift it up and reinstall it but be careful. I had not problem doing it - it did not crack or break and did not lose it's adhesive quality. Your mileage may vary. Get your screen CLEAN. The supplied wipes and stickers meant I had no bubble when I set the screen onto my phone. That's it. No extra cleaners, no scraping the glass to squeeze out the bubbles. It was easier than I expected. Overall, I highly recommend this screen protector. If I ever drop my phone and it breaks, I'll return back to comment on how my actual screen underneath fared. Until then, I am very satisfied.

Updated: Much better the second time around!
UPDATE: I've been using a different, non-glass screen protector for the last six months after the issues with this product (see original review below), but the non-glass protector started failing, so I decided to go back to glass. Despite my previous bad experience with this screen protector, I decided to give it a second try, just in case. This time around, I'm much happier! It installed quickly and easily, lined up just as it should, and doesn't interfere with my Otterbox case. It's been on my phone for a while now with no adhesive failure like last time, either. Within 24 hours of putting it on my phone, it did crack up near the top (the clear area where "Samsung" is displayed), but I think I had accidentally clipped the phone with a hard object, so while I'm not happy that it's already cracked, it's still usable and at least I know it does what it's supposed to do: protect the screen! Overall, between my two experiences with this product, I'm giving it 4 stars. ORIGINAL: When I first installed this screen protector, I was quite pleased. It fit the phone screen and my Otterbox Commuter case didn't conflict with the screen protector edges. The screen protector was clear, adhered perfectly with no bubbles or dust trapped under it, and it even looked nice! The top and bottom of the screen were a bit hard to access through the screen protector (swiping down for the menu or pressing the bottom buttons), but I've run into that before with other screen protectors, so I didn't think much of it. In less than 24 hours, though, the adhesive on the bottom half (diagonally) of the screen protector had disengaged from my phone screen. I had to all but smash the screen protector to get it to connect with the screen underneath. Whenever I did get it to connect, it made this awful squelching noise that made me cringe and hope I hadn't done damage to the actual screen. I had to take it off completely because it was worse than having no screen protector. I want my money back!

Full Coverage Dot Matrix Screen Protector vs Partial Coverage Traditional Screen protector
I have tried a couple of S7 glass screen protectors. Every one which I have tried has been either partial coverage or halo effect on the edges. It is uncomfortable to slide your finger over the edges of a partial coverage screen protector. In my search for a full coverage screen protectors that has no halo effect, I think this amFile Bye-Bye Bubble glass protector is what I want. First of all, this is not a traditional glass screen protector, which sticks to the actual phone screen. The Bye-Bye Bubble screen protector only sticks to the screen on the top, bottom and edges. The display region is not adhered to the screen. Instead, it is filled with a dot matrix. The dot matrix is visible when the screen is off, however, it is barely noticeable when the screen is on. From what I understand, the dot matrix is under the screen protector, and allows for contact on the screen-imitation your finger. So, they are kinda needed in order to have a functional screen protector which is full coverage. The good thing is that you will not have bubbles or halo effect. However, the bad thing is the dot matrix may be annoying to someone else. Secondly is the fit. Unlike the partial coverage screen protector, this one is edge to edge and the cut is perfectly measured. I noticed that there are some reviews that aid there was no cutout for the camera, while others said there was a cutout. I would say there is a cutout for the camera, buy not a real cut. The glass is not open, just transparent, so the camera works just as it should. Lastly, unlike the other glass screen protector which have a margin between the protector and the edges of the phone, this screen protector is designed to cover from edge to edge. This is a good thing for protection, but if you have a case that wraps around the phone tightly, those kinds of cases might not be compatible with this screen protector. If you have a case that is s slim fit (not wrapping around the edges) you will have no problem at all. Between the partial coverage screen protector and this dot matrix one, I would choose this latter one without doubt. it is not a perfect one, but it is much better than a partial coverage screen protector when you move finger on the screen. I wish I could find a full coverage traditional glass screen protector that would stick well to the phone. I am not sure if it is possible to make one because all the edges of the S7 are curved. If anyone finds one, please share it with me.

Has several major flaws.
I read several reviews of multiple screen protectors for the Galaxy S7 before settling on this one as it had so many reviews compared to others. In the past I have only purchased Zagg screen protectors for my phones. They tend to be more expensive but are usually far better than any other brand on the market. But the Zagg screen protector specifically for the Galaxy S7 has had very poor reviews. I know there is an issue with the Galaxy S7 due to the curving at the edge of the screen, even on the standard S7, not the S7 edge (I wish Samsung would go back to standard flat screens as previous Galaxy models). I noticed this protector has been colored black on the edges and top and bottom. There are a few other colors of this brand available to match closely the original overall color of your phone. This coloring makes it very difficult to apply as you have to really apply it on the screen exactly perfect otherwise you will cover up the lite action controls to the left and right of the home button. After I applied the screen protector, I noticed what I thought a perfect application. It is normally very difficult to apply a protector as usually a piece of lint or dust gets between the protector and the screen. I usually have a bottle of canned air handy and apply the protector in the kitchen where there is not as much dust and where I have better lighting. Some reviewers have pointed out that the protector is thick and makes pushing the home button feel more awkward. The issue is not with the thickness of the protector, but the fact it covers the portion of the screen all the way around the home button. The Zagg protectors I used on my older Galaxy phones as well as other protectors I have seen on Amazon for the Galaxy S7 have been notched to allow access to the home button instead of cutting a hole for the protector as was done with this one. The main issue I have with the protector is the fact that it interferes with the sensitivity of the screen. Sometimes I can't get the screen to respond when I touch it. This has to do with the fact the protector ONLY has adhesive around the edges, not in the middle which explains why it seems to not adhear to the screen. I have been using screen protectors and cases for phones for years and I noticed when I tap the screen with my finger, I noticed a specific sound like it is sitting on top of the screen. A protector that ad hears to all parts of the screen makes a different sound when tapped, like it is part of the screen itself. Unfortunately for me the sensitivity issue is so bad I am going to return the protector and look for different brand. UPDATE: I have tried one other glass screen protector, but the problem was it did not adhear to the edges, opposite problem this protector has. The best bet I was told was to try a flexible protector, you lose the glass like feel, but it they will not interfere with the screen sensitivity. It is give and take with screen protectors for the S7 and also with the new S8 as they both have tapered edge screens. The only other option I see is just not to use a screen protector at all.

Hands-down the best glass screen protector for Samsung S7! And I have tried 7-8 others, most of which have fake good reviews.
I am very picky about screen protectors. If you want to check, I am a Verified Purchaser on Amazon. I spent many hours doing research and MONTHS looking for a decent glass screen protector for the five S7's I got for myself and my family. I tried over 7-8 different glass screen protectors from Amazon, and none of them worked very well. Some of the "full screen" glass protectors that went all the way to the screen edge either did not adhere properly or immediately cracked when I put on my Speck Candyshell Grip case or the UAG cases I got for the family phones. I finally and reluctantly went with a flat glass protector, which covered the entire visible screen but was not curved, so it left a 1/4 inch "ghosted" band around the perimeter of the protector. At long last, I came across this amFilm model. I have put on many glass screen protectors in the past, and the amFilm was a breeze to apply. It is FULL screen protection and adheres very well. From what I can tell, it has excellent adhesion along the edges and a unique dot matrix pattern that helps it adhere to the rest of the screen. Once properly applied, it sticks completely flat to the entire face of the S7, and you cannot even tell it is on there. The dot matrix pattern either disappears or is not visible when the screen is on. And it works with both the Speck Candyshell Grip and the UAG cases. Touch sensitivity does not seem to be affected at all. Someone mentioned they had a halo in the center. I have applied 5 of these and only got a halo one time, which was actually my fault. I accidentally missed a speck of dust on the screen before I put on the protector, so I had to pull it off and try again. Then a speck of dust landed on the sticky side of the same protector, so I had to pull it off once again! Needless the say, it did not stick very well the third time, so I had to trash it and apply a new one, which worked perfectly. So now I have a system for applying these protectors. First, I wash my hands to remove any oils. Then I clean the entire screen very carefully, especially around the edges, using the provided wet cleaning wipes. Then I dry and clean the screen with a microfiber cloth. THEN, and very importantly, I cover the phone with a clean microfiber cloth to prevent any dust particles from settling on the screen. I take the protective film off of the screen protector, making sure to hold it with the sticky side face down so no dust particles can settle on it. Then I slide off the microfiber cloth, check again for dust particles, and immediately put on the glass screen protector. Voila! Perfect application.

Great product, except it didn't work for me
Ultimately I did not like the protector and chose not to use it on my phone. I would have given it two stars but the customer service is excellent, and I chose to use a case that was not compatible with the protector. See below. Pros: Easy to apply - the easiest screen protector I've used, no bubbles or stray dust particles. Attractive, barely noticeable on screen. Does its job - I dropped my phone and cracked the protector without damaging the actual screen. Customer service is excellent. I did not like how the protector worked and asked for a refund. They sent me a second protector to try free of charge and offered some advice on application and use. Cons: Touch sensitivity is compromised. Wasn't too bad without a case on the phone - I had to use a little extra pressure on the edges of the keyboard but it was acceptable. However when I put the case on my phone, the sensitivity was diminished so much that I had to take off the screen protector because it was too frustrating to try to type. Customer service did tell me that they don't recommend using the case I have (otterbox commuter) with the protector, but I chose to use the case over the screen protector. The phone is just too slippery without a case and I drop it too often to use a different case.

Highly recommended
This is my first impressions of the screen protector; have only had it on the phone for about a week and have not tested it's protective capabilities, but it looks very nice! Very easy to install, especially in comparison to the plastic film screen protectors which, in my experience, never went on without a struggle and always gave me fits with bubbles and misalignments. No bubbles here at all. You do need to be careful with alignment; I was able to remove it and realign it a couple of times but it does start to stick immediately even though I just gently laid it down on the phone screen. I was worried about damaging it when removing it but was very careful and no harm was done. Despite my careful cleaning of the phone screen after shutting myself in a room with little air flow, I managed to get a dust spot or two under the protector - sigh. They are not noticeable unless the display is "asleep" (black) but that might drive some folks crazy, lol, so you'll need to do a better job of it than I did. I have not noticed any lessening in the screen's touch sensitivity and the display is as bright, clear and pretty as ever. I am using the screen protector with a Spigen Tough Armor case. I did let the phone sit for about 24 hours after installing the protector to make sure it had "set" before installing the case. The protector fits perfectly with this case and I have no worries about the case interfering with the screen protector, let alone causing it to pop off.

Easy to install and looks good.
Very easy to install with clear instructions. Everything need to prepare the phone is included. Once installed, the protector looks good. It's a little more reflective than the original glass but not too bad. Light transmission is reduced by a whisker but it's not noticeable after a bit of use. Feels good to the touch, with swipe typing easy. Touch sensitivity was not effected much. It's a good protector.
