awesome ruler my daughter loves it. no worries about it breaking like the wooden ones i used in grade school. this ruler will be around for a while. great purchase shipped in what i thought was a large box for one item otherwise another great purchase from amazon

First off the graphics on this puppy is very nice: high contrast, good font choices. It also seems very durable. If all you need are rulers and maybe some okay edges, say for a geometry class, then they're awesome. If you want edges that are accurately straight, look elsewhere. The edges are poorly aligned/cut. The ruler marks (black lines) extend past the edge, slightly, resulting in a bumpy ride for your drawing implement. You will not draw a straight line with these edges ever. Fortunately it's not terribly expensive so I will keep it, even though my reason for buying it was entirely because I needed some good straight edges that would not wear out quickly.

My son loves this ruler and uses it quite a bit for school. His teacher told him to get a flexible ruler for his geometry homework and this one is perfect.

I use these in class and it has solved the problem of my students breaking my rulers every year. My students don't do it intentionally, at least not most times, but the plastic ones are brittle. We can even measure curved objects now and still use it as a straight edge. Shipping was quick and accurate. My only complaint is that these have an intense awful plasticky/rubbery smell. I have had them for several months now and the scent has diminished only slightly.

My 12 year old boy needed a ruler that could survive his backpack. This was more than worth the money I paid for it. May be the last ruler I have to buy for a while. I cannot believe it took me so long to get one of these!

Wish I could give this -10. Totally unusable. Arrived permanently bent out of shape. Impossible to read dark numbers on dark blue ruler. Don't waste your time or money on this. Went into the trash.

The ruler is great, and exactly what my son wanted for Christmas. Unfortunately, the three I got were all pink. Really can't send an eight year old boy off to school with a pink ruler.

I thought this would be the perfect ruler for my grandson who likes to measure things. Being flexible I figured he couldn't hurt himself or much else with it. I was correct on that point. However the ruler I received is green with black letters and very difficult to see the numbers on that background. They are not as distinct as the picture shows them to be on the blue ruler.

Ad on deal: Can't break it, but you can warp it if you try, but then it eventually returns to its proper shape. Not for drafting or other crucially straight lines.

It is what the name says, a flexible ruler. The reason for 4 stars is the disgusting smell, even after months it still smells like strong chemical.

Good ruler costed less than my gluestick
