We finally got some composting bins for our yard, and I needed something to collect the kitchen scraps in. This one is perfect. It is quite small, but I think it will be enough since we empty it every couple of days. It has a beautiful blue color that perfectly matches our lower kitchen cabinets, but that actually turns out to matter less because I found that it is small enough to fit onto the inside of the door of our under-sink cabinet, despite our large garbage disposal. It comes with a hanger to do this (see photo). Since our kitchen is small, it's nice to be able to get it out of the way. It also comes with a clear plastic hanger that can be glued to surfaces, if that's what you would like to do. Furthermore, it has a detachable top on the rim of the can, which can hold a bag if you use one (we don't, since I never trust the "compostability" of bags in a home compost, and it's an extra cost). The lid fits tightly but is easy to remove. Highly recommend.

This has been great for our 2 person household compost collecting. We hang it inside our recycle bin (and are careful not to miss the compost bin!) in our garbage cabinet. In AZ we have not had problems with fruit flies because it is so dry, so we don't use the lid. We empty the bin into our compost service bucket every 4-6 days and wash it in the sink afterward. No problems with smells or staining so far. It will not hold larger items, so things like corn husks and cobs go directly into the service's bucket.

We are a two person household in an apartment with a relatively small kitchen and no yard. Composting is now required in New York City. The bucket is small, but for us holds about 4 days of compostable items most days. It has a holder around the top edge that holds compostable bags in place, and the cover hooks onto the top edge for convenience when adding items. Because it is small, it attaches to the cupboard door under the sink near the top so it clears the cleaning products etc. stored under the sink. My only complaint is that there is no place to attach a small charcoal filter, so that odors are absorbed when open. Not a problem when the lid is on. It is easy to clean.

I love this container and it is just so perfect for my use. In fact, I have bought other matching pieces in other sizes to accommodate my disposal needs inside a larger garbage can. There are rarely products small enough for my nyc apartment, and with composting being required now, this has been the perfect answer to discreet disposal and staying clean and neat. I just line it with a plastic vegetable grocery bag. If things get not so nice, I can just lift out the entire container and take it to the building's compost, or even if the bag leaks, a quick wash takes everything back to new again. Although I haven't put these in the dishwasher, they definitely seem sturdy and durable enough. I also love the color. It goes with my stuff.

Just what I needed for kitchen scrap composting. Only complaint is I wish it were a little bigger. Works perfect for collecting and disposing in the compost pile!

The lid doesn’t close as tightly as I would’ve expected, and I have no idea why that plastic thing will not stick to the back.

I have had other compost buckets. I had metal and ceramic so this time I wanted plastic. Easy to clean, lighter not heavy. This has a functional, tight fitting lid that keeps odors and bugs out. Its the perfect size for on the counter for a couple. If we had a family of 4, this may be too small. For the two of us its perfect ! Comes with mounting options and appears to be very well made. Im happy with this selection and would order it again.

This little trash can was the perfect size for our RV bathroom! It hangs on the cabinets door so we don’t have to worry about it being tossed around the RV when driving! It actually looks pretty good. I like how the lid keeps trash from falling out while we drive as well. Though about getting another for the kitchen area as well.
