BEATER BAR OFF SWITCH - VACUUM IS THE BEST .......LOVING IT!
FANTASTIC VACUUM CLEANER! EASY TO USE. GETS IN ALL THE TIGHT SPOTS. THE SUCTION IS AMAZING...IF I GET CLOSE TO A CRUMB IT GOES IN WITHOUT HESITATION. I MAINLY BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE MY TWO RUGS REQUIRE NO BEATER BAR OR IT CAN RUIN THE RUG. I LOVE THE OPTION TO TURN OFF THE BEATER BAR FOR THIS REASON. THE PRICE WAS VERY GOOD. ALSO LOVE THE OPTION TO TAKE OFF THE SMALL VACUUM TO USE ON RUGS IN CAR AND OTHER HARD TO GET TO TINY AREAS. I CALLED AMAZON CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ASK ABOUT REMOVING THE DIRT CUP. IT WAS NOT EASY FOR ME DUE TO ARTHRITIS IN MY HANDS BUT I GOT IT FIGURED OUT. I ALSO WATCHED SOME YOUTUBE VIDEOS WHICH WERE HELPFUL. SO FAR THIS IS REALLY GOOD. I WAS TOLD NOT TO KEEP IT PLUGGED IN CHARGING WHILE NO INTENDING TO USE BECAUSE IT COULD RUIN THE MOTOR. SO I UNPLUGGED IT AFTER IT WAS FULLY CHARGED AND THE NEXT DAY THERE WAS STILL PLENTY OF JUICE IN IT TO DO THE ENTIRE LIVING AREA. I ALSO LIKE THE LIGHTNESS OF THIS AND YOU CAN PICK IT UP AND MOVE IT AROUND EASILY. ALL AROUND IT IS THE PERFECT FIT FOR MY NEEDS.

Best lightweight vacuum!
I am obsessed with this little vacuum! It is SO lightweight, and I use it regularly bc I prefer to vacuum instead of sweep. I bought it when I was pregnant, and it really helped having something so lightweight & cordless so that it was easy to maneuver. The cordless model is worth the extra change! I have had it for about a year and the suction works great. It’s easy to empty out. We moved to a house that has all tile floors and this has been so helpful! I will say I don’t think it does as well on carpeted floors (I use a different vacuum for my rugs). This makes a great daily vacuum for a quick clean of the kitchen floor and any other hard floors you have in your house! Love it!

Love this Vacuum
I love this vacuum! I have had it a year now and still works great. I have a small space and a dog. It is perfect for what I need and use this weekly. It is not great for the car as it is hard to get it into the smaller spaces like floor boards just FYI. Hair does get stuck around the beater bar and I have to clean that weekly as I have long hair. It is easy to clean. The battery last a long time. I can vacuum my 500sqft space on a full charge without it running out. I do have to dump the canister 2-3 times when vacuuming my whole house. Just a note incase that would bug some people you can get a model with a bigger canister but it does not bother me. It takes 4-5 hours to fully charge. I highly recommend this vacuum for small spaces or for ease of quick clean ups. I never want to use a corded vacuum again. The cordless feature is a game changer.

Died just outside warranty, Bissell customer service no help
We purchased this vacuum on July 3, 2021. We chose this one because of the reviews, the light weight aspect, the features, and because it was cordless. We also bought into the "helping animals" marketing. On August 31, 2022 it did not turn on. We have maintained the equipment, changed filters, etc as the user manual directed. We have engineered hard wood (vinyl plank) throughout our home. We called the product support line provided by Amazon today, September 10, 2022. First representative- Gathered our information, did some trouble shooting, informed us we were out of guarantee (waranty) and that the best he could do was 20% off a new unit. We would have to pay shipping and there was no option for extended protection. The unit would take 1- 2 weeks to arrive at our home. Total cost would be around $120. We asked him to tell us why we should buy another Bissell if it was going to die right after the warranty period. He just kept reiterating that because we were outside the warranty, he could offer 20% off a new unit. We asked to be transferred to sales based on the assumption that a sales person might be better versed in reliability and if this was a frequent problem. He was pleasant enough, just very script focused. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes. Second representative- Asks for all our information AGAIN and is unable to understand us even when we spelled things out such as "E as in Echo". Getting our address correct took over 5 minutes. We explain that our vacuum died, we had already done troubleshooting, the other rep offered us 20% off a new unit, but that we wanted to know why we should purchase a Bissell product again if it was just going to die right outside warranty. He started looking up other products. He suggested a corded vacuum that was suitable for carpet and also $400! We specified that we were not looking for other products and definitely not spending $400 on a vacuum that wouldn't work for us. He responded "But that has a 2 year guarantee". He then wasted 10 more minutes of our lives reexplaining that our unit was out of warranty (we know) and if we want that one he can offer 20% off (we know) and that we also have to pay for shipping. We asked for a supervisor. Duration of this call segment: 25- 30 mins. Supervisor- We had to wait on hold roughly 5 minutes, so not bad at all for a weekend. The supervisor answers and sounds pissed off. "Who am I speaking to? What is it you want?" They have a non American accent, so we chalk it up to differences in grammar, not rudeness. We were wrong. We very briefly explain the issue. "Our vacuum is just out of warranty and died. We're being offered 20% off a new unit, but we're not sure we want to spend over $100 on a vacuum just to do it again in a year. Is this a common problem? Do your vacuums just make it through the warranty period and then die?" We could hear a small dog loosing it's yappy mind and a young (toddler?) aged child sing shrieking in the background. It was loud enough she was difficult to hear. We missed the first sentence or so and were able to hear "... Warranty was 2 years and expired in March (both these things are untrue) so 20% is a gift!" "No, it was a 1 year warranty and expired in July. Are you looking at the right customer?" *she starts yelling angrily*"I know what I'm doing and you waited 4 months to call. Your warranty expired in March! What do you want?!?" "So we're going to go ahead and take our money to a different company, thanks." We hung up. Duration of this call segment: 5- 10 minutes real time, 6 hours yelling, yapping, shriek singing time. We went to look up the corporate address to send a letter and found 4 on Google. We called the customer service line again. I gave my name and said I just wanted to corporate mailing address. Nothing complicated, just the address. She asked to place me on hold, but forgot to mute or actually place me on hold. I could hear her typing furiously for about 5 minutes. She came back and asked "Why you want the address?" "I would like to send them a letter. I have 4 address in different locations and I wanted to make sure I sent it to the correct one. Or sometimes companies have post office boxes or something they prefer customers use." "Well what addresses do you have?" "You... I.... You can't just give me the mailing address?" "No. What addresses do you have?" At this point I got suspicious and said "I have one in South Korea, one in Chicago, and two in Michigan." "Grand Rapids is right." "I have two though, one is 2345 Walker (true) and the other is 1200 Walker (false). Which is correct?" "They both work. Grand Rapids." "Wow... Thanks I guess." and hung up. So customer service can't even get an address right. Overall it was a fantastic vacuum, until it wasn't. Get the extended protection or probably plan on shelling out $100- 200 a year to replace it when it dies a month or two out of warranty. I would not this for anyone on a fixed income as it just adds to your expenses. TL/DR: Works great until the warranty is up. Then doesn't and customer service is useless. Get the extra protection or pay every year.

Good for arthritis
This is awesome for a person who can't manage a full-on heavy vacuum. The 6 lbs weight is mostly near the bottom /wheels so it feels lighter than it is and you don't have to strain your wrist wrangling its weight around. Pros: charged fully in 4 hours, easy maneuver, decent suction for a wand vac, beater bars to help with your flat little kitchen rugs. Emptying is easy. I found it wanted to suck up my "ruggable" brand rug that's got a waterproof base blocking the vacuum's air flow, but that caused the motor to work too hard and the breaker shut it off. After a minute it started right back up. I have 600 feet of wood floor with 4 flat area rugs and I vacuumed it all on one charge. Then I tried using the removable dust-buster part of it and vacuumed cabinets, silverware drawers etc. With the weight all in my hand rather than carried by the wheels it was harder to use as a hand vac for my arthritis, but still manageable. I used 2 hands for some tasks to not strain my wrist in hand vac mode. Overall though it functions really well. Cons: you'll still want the big vac once in a while for deep clean on your plush carpets. This vac likes floors and thin rugs. ODDLY, the plug in is on the bottom and its coupling plug is small and kind of fussy.

The best vacuum! My #1 Amazon Purchase
I order a ton of things from Amazon and this is my #1 favorite purchase! I have had this workhorse cordless vacuum for 2 1/2 years now with no issues. I love everything about it. My house is about 90% laminate flooring and 3 area rugs and I use it for both. The suction is excellent, it is lightweight, it has a swivel head and I love the detachable handheld vacuum feature for quick pick ups. Of course the battery does not last forever. My house is 1700 SF so I can get through 75% of it on one charge. No big deal, I just plug it in to recharge and do the rest later that day or the next. There are some negative reviews on here that the vacuum suddenly just stops working even when it's charged. I called Bissell customer service when that happened to me and they explained how to remove the roller and clean the areas on each side where it connects. Voila! Problem solved. So glad I didn't buy a new one! 😳 This only needs to be done once in a while. I have a dog that sheds a lot, and so do I, so I use the vacuum almost daily. It's the best vacuum I have owned!!!

Great Little Vacuum~
I needed a smaller, lightweight vacuum for our kitchen area that gets heavy access from the deck and yard=dirt, leaves etc.I read the reviews on all comparable products and selected this one.I am sooo happy I did.It is fairly powerful for a small, light device and the detachable piece does have good suction .It makes keeping this area so much easier than lugging a big vacuum and I can do it a few times a day if needed. It charges easily and also is pretty easy to clean.I am very pleased and plan on getting another one for my tennants downstairs, aka my sons!

$180 vacuum that performs like a $40 one :(
I really, really wanted to like this vacuum. I have 12mm beautiful, dark wood laminate floors that are primarily vacuumed daily by my Roomba, but it doesn't like the very thick, high pile rug in my living room, and I don't run my Roomba upstairs or in my basement, so I needed an auxiliary vacuum for all that, and for general spot-cleaning. This vacuum worked decently in the beginning - I liked it enough to keep it, clearly, as I bought it almost 2 years ago, but it has not performed all that well since, nor has it held up to my occasional use! The detachable hand vac is useless unless it's held at the exact right angle of the nozzle, and the body/ stick portion of my unit feels like it's going to crack in half at any moment. It's not very easy to empty - especially not one-handed - and overall it's really falling flat for me. With light use over less than 2 years, I really expected more, especially for the price I paid at the time ($180). Quite disappointing from a well-known, respected vacuum brand.
