What a great tale. I didn’t know the details of his hustling, let alone that he sold reefers to a who,a who of Harlem jazz. Malcolm X was an original thinker who was portrayed as a one dimensional charicatute by the American media because that’s a limitation of the American media - it doesn’t want people to see examples of original thought that explains the reality of things that the elite wants to pretend are not things. In this book X let’s us see how his thinking and awareness unfolded. He didn’t live long enough to become wise enough to see his own limitations, but he kept learning and improving himself and if he’d have lived to be old he might have developed a better appreciation of MLK’s strategy of non violence. But no, X was an activist, an optimist, and a can do man. He did well, and this is a great book. I read it through without stopping. Fascinating and endearing.

A powerful and eye-opening read. Malcolm X’s story is told with honesty, intensity, and clarity, and it really makes you think about history, justice, and personal transformation. The book gives you a strong sense of his character, struggles, and the experiences that shaped his beliefs. It’s thought-provoking, moving, and inspiring, and the narrative keeps you engaged throughout. Essential reading for anyone interested in civil rights, history, or personal growth.

One of the finest books on one of the greatest figures of the 20th century, MalcomX. This book is a must read for every person of colour and every minority who are discriminated at the hands of the powerful, for the people who are lost and do not know their cause, for people who continue to accept brutality without doing something to defend themself. It was a an important literary work of the last century and it rings much more significance in this century where black people are still fighting for their right towards equality and peace. Malcom X, was good Human being and a thoughtful leader who accepted his shortcomings and corrected them along the way. He was assasinated five decades ago but his message and work lives on in the hearts of millions of black people and other people of colour all over the world.
