This is the second Defender Door Blocker we bought,very strong ,virtually impossible to break open the lock from outside,easy to install,screws comes along with the pack.As this gives additional security for the door,its highly recommended,moreover there is no need to drill any holes on the door for installing this blocker as this is fitted to the door frame.Very good product.

The screws that came along is a JOKE. Dont install those screws. IT is meant for butter boards. DISAPPOINTED....

Originally I had watched a Facebook video my girlfriend had sent me about this new security product and i thought this has got to have a catch or be phony.... So what could $22 bucks hurt spending it to try this out so i bought it and the only thing i didnt not like is i got uline instead of prime-line not a big deal theyre all the same. I installed it shortly after recieveing it with my impact driver with the 3"inch screws supplied and then i got my girlfriend to lock it so that i could test its strength, i am 200+lbs 5"8 heavy frame 56% muscle fairly good shape and my cousin who is 5"10 about 200 we both hip checked as well as tried 10+ times to boot the door in with just that no lockes engaged and shoulder check it... Result im pretty sure that even if u have a good new solid house your hinges would give out before this thing will -Great buy -Good value -Super Strong ( no to brag but ive ripped exterior doors on a new house off by accident and this held up to me) -800LBS to bust it -Quality product -Easy installation(you will need an impact driver for this) All in all a great purchase & have reccomended this to my friends and family.

This is a great lock, it is not bulky, and does not take much space, but it goes on so securely. makes you feel much safer. really good buy.

The defender door locks are easy to install and provide a secure indoor locking function. What I really like is the ease of installation. I pulled out the Dewalt impact screw driver and my first one was done in a couple minutes. I did not have to pre-drill but probably a good idea to do if you do not have a impact screw driver. I like this so much I bought another one for a different door. The second one I installed required me to cut out a door frame notch for it to mount flush and work properly. Without the notch it was hitting the door when it closed. This took about 10 minutes with a chisel to do. They both work smoothly and fast to engage and disengage. They work well not only securing the door but providing that extra layer of protection along with the deadbolt. It's also good to prevent those smart kiddos that figure out how to unlock and open the front door at age 3. Pros: Easy install (on most doors) Good value Secure and strong Attractive and a small space footprint Multiple finishes to pick from Helps child proof the house Cons: Have to get use to how to open and close these Some doors may require a little chiseling for mounting You can accidently lock someone out (as with all indoor only locks)
