I use every day. I didn't think it would work being that its just a sheet of plastic. I though, 'the barrier is still exposed, surely it will get wet', but it doesn't. First off, if you have an ostomy and don't have a handheld shower head that should be your first purchase before this. I got a fairly inexpensive one here on Amazon for 12 bucks and its great. This is important because the water goes where you want it to. If you were to get into the shower with a normal head, I would imagine that this shower cover wouldn't work how you might hope. However coupling this with a hand held sprayer, it works great. I hold down the edge of the plastic when I spray close to it and that is enough to keep the water from getting in there. As long as you aren't intentionally spraying water under the cover your barrier won't get wet. The only times my barrier gets wet is when i take off the cover before I'm completely dry and a few drops run down and get on the barrier. Completely manageable and really nothing to worry about. This shower cover works far beyond my expectations and I'm so glad I have it. Make sure its tight around your abdomen. By double wrapping the elastic band like the directions say you really prevent any water from running down your body and getting under the shower guard. I wear a size large. I'm a 6' tall male, weight 162 lbs and am a loose size 34 pant and the large shower guard is perfect. Were i much bigger around the abdomen I would probably want to size up. If you have an ostomy and showers worry you, this is the answer. Its a great product that works way better than you would think it does. It keeps your pouch and barrier dry and makes for an easy shower. ### ⭐ Don’t waste your money *by P***N on June 18, 2024* We bought this, my husband tried it and his urostomy bag was wetter after using it than without. If you order your normal size the strap isn’t long enough to wrap around twice and I doubt that would make a difference. Water is going to get into the pocket. The best thing I’ve found to combat leakage and keep the barrier plate dry is to use some type of (adhesive backed film.
