Yes - The MPM-1000 is a standard condenser microphone and will require 48vDC power, supplied either by phantom power through an audio interface, mixer, or through an external phantom power supply.

- Make sure that the gain or volume on your pre-amp, speakers and headphones are all turned down - Make sure that Phantom Power on your Mixer, Audio Interface or external power source is switched off

How should I connect this microphone to my setup? (Part 2)

- Use the supplied XLR cable and attach the female end securely to the MPM-1000. Connect the male end of your XLR cable to your pre-amp or phantom power supply. - Once the MPM-1000 is fully connected to the pre-amp, turn on the phantom power.

The included mount won't fit on my microphone stand. Is it compatible? (Part 1)

The MPM-1000 comes with a thread adapter that may come left inside the shock mount and can be easy to overlook. This can be used to adapt the microphone to fit on microphone stands with different threading.

The included mount won't fit on my microphone stand. Is it compatible? (Part 2)

Most often this is associated with a difference in microphone stands between the US (5/8" threading, without the adapter) and Europe (3/8" threading, with the adapter). The adapter can be removed or re-inserted using a flat head screwdriver.

A bit of white noise but very good mic

I assume the white noise comes from the cable cause my other cables didn't do that (with the same sound card), but beside that, it's a very good mic for the price!!

Works very well, and the stand is better than my expectations. Quality is okay but it is affordable

A very poor piece of equipment.

I tried it for streaming, zoom meeting, and recording. There was a continuous jarring sound and echo. I tried to adjust the connections at the adapter and the jarring stops but then returns again. I will surely not recommend this.
