The reel holds masses of line giving you the option of letting those big fish run for that little bit longer if needed. The drag force once set correctly, makes you have full confidence on the lever drag. The lever drag works incredibly well and you can go from minimal drag to max when needed in just a simple push. The 2 speed works great too, giving you the ability to switch between high and low retrieval ratio. A well spooled reel on high will gain ground on any fish after those big runs. The slower speed works well when you want to keep progress with the stubborn monsters. The rachet works good with a decent click.
