Honestly - the only thing, which I don’t understand - is the stopper at the bottom of the brewer. Sure, as v1 it would be a very simple solution. However Toddy was sold probably thousand and thousand of times - so I would expect that v2 has a different system (e.g. similar to the fat separator with bottom valve). It is subjectively also not the best material there is (also: for the price), the handle could be made better ans so on. But it clearly works and it it not super expensive. So it is good enough. By the way - don’t buy the cold brew filter bags.
