I'll start by saying I have thick, wavy, Middle Eastern hair. I have been dying my hair for decades both at a salon and by box. For years I kept using salon dye and then gave up because it got costly when I started getting greys and needed to dye it once a month. I stuck to this Revlon ColorSilk black dye for 3 years and my hair was so silky and shiny and down to my bottom. I always received compliments on it. Then I decided I wanted to go back to brown and color remover didn't work so I bleached my hair. I did it gently, but it still needed time and TLC. I only used semi permanent salon dye after that for a whole year. My hair is always rough after salon dye, even with hair treatments or keratin. I decided that it was too costly again and went back to this dye. Immediately after dying it, my hair is silky and shiny again. I don't know how they do it, but this is superior to all of the salon dyes I have used or had professionals use on me. The shine is simply unbeatable. I am never switching dye brands again. Please don't change your formula!!! It made me love my hair again.

I've never dyed my hair a natural color before. I was a little confused at first when it was clear and was amazed when I watched it quickly turn dark black. It had a sweet smell and wasn't too powerful of an odor. It took so much less time so set than when I had colored my hair an unnatural color! The shampoo that came with it makes your hair feel like you just left the salon. I may keep using this to keep my hair black for a very long time! ♥

I used to love this hair dye but I unfortunately developed a severe allergy to permanent dyes

I don't know how Revlon can put out such a fantastic product for less than $3/box, but this hair color does everything it promises...no ammonia odor, color is rich and natural, hair is silky after coloring. If there is anything I don't like is the small packet of conditioner...I have shoulder-length hair and that is not enough conditioner to cover my hair from root to tip, so I have add a little bit of another conditioner I normally use.
