Review: I had a 100 year old historic neighborhood home I was listing for sale, and it had original oak hardwood floors that had not been refinished in over 20 years. It was easy to apply (I used a Walmart sponge mop with a new sponge head) and the floors were transformed into a thing of beauty! I am very happy to report that my house sold in ONE DAY, and I really believe this product was a major factor in the quick sale. I am sure this product will not be a LONG term solution, but for a short term 'fix' it is fantastic. After applying, the floors had a wonderful low gloss sheen that looked like hand waxed surface. My floors had lots of small scratches, and while it didn't totally hide them, they were much less noticable. I specifically wanted the LOW GLOSS formula, and could only find the high gloss version at my local Lowes and Home Depot, so ordered 4 bottles from desertcart. It arrived quickly and safely. I ordered 4 bottles, because I wanted to be sure I had enough and thought since my floors were so old and dry that it would really 'soak' up the product. I only needed two bottles for a 1600 square foot home that had wood floors throughout except for the kitchen, bathrooms and utility room. It seemed to go a long way, but I was careful to apply a THIN coat like the instructions said. I will be returning the other two bottles to desertcart. Overall, I give this product 5 plus stars, and highly recommend it!!! Review: Not as good as advertised. Will you be able to tell where I've started and stopped if I don't do every room the same day?** A: You can feather it in at the entrance to the other room. You can use a paint brush to do this at the entrance to the other room you are not planning to finish. This will leave LESS of a hard line between the finished area and the unfinished area. However, if the floor in the unfinished room is very dull, it will be difficult to feather in the finishe because the difference in shine will be more noticeable. To solve this, the first time you use the reviver, do all the floors at the same time. Then, thereafter, you will not need to do the entire floor each time because the shine level will be more comparable. **Q: can you use this product on an engineered hardwood floor that has a Wearmax finish** A: I swear by this product for use on my oak 100+ year old floor but suggest you call the Wearmax company at 877-932-7629 or go to their web site contact link. **Q: 1880's home with original hardwood. High traffic areas are pretty bad. Will this help make the floors more uniform?** A: if the high traffic areas have worn through the top coat this isn't your answer. **Q: Is this product good for engineered flooring? How strong is the odor of this product?** A: I use this product on my Parquet floor and he did a beautiful job made them look like new. I never notice much of a odor and I would go on Miniwax web site and they can tell you about your floor. This restorer is unreal to make your floors look next to new. Our family is hard on the floors and our son well, he drops everything which this won't help. But the day-2-day wear and tear dulls the floors and this stuff is...magic!
