Our tops are made of cold rolled steel **Q: How do you season the griddle?** A: I use flaxseed oil. Do it at least three times to start then maintain it after each use. I recommend you YouTube it if you're confused. YOU MUST DO THIS BEFORE YOU USE YOUR GRIDDLE. **Q: Considering the 22" Blackstone Griddle. What is in the box...???** A: Mine came equipped with the base a grill top and a fitting for a small canister. Mine was a 17 inch can't say what a 22 would have. **Q: Do you recommend getting the hard cover?** A: Not sure. I don’t have one on my griddle and not planing on getting one either.
